2 wins (Burnley, Leicester) 2 draws (Southampton, Arsenal) 2 losses (Liverpool, Chelsea). That should consolidate us in mid table and set us up to push on in the new year.

The way our home form has been the last couple of seasons we'll probably get next to nowt, but we'll probably get some big results away.
Would love 10-12 points.

If we can average 1.5 points per game we finish with 57 points which would be great but is within possibility.
It's a 38 game season so we shouldn't worry too much about short poor runs.

Seven points from the home games, one from the away games.
However Xmas is funny for results and mid table Stoke are coupons busters so we still might end up with 8 points or so but not the games we expect.

The boys will go through these fixtures like a shoal of red and white striped piranha and strip eighteen points off them leaving a scattering of bones in their wake.
UP THE POTTERS!!!

I'd prefer to be 3 up after 70 minutes and look at a quickly emptying stadium, and by 75 minutes just a sea of red seats to be seen on the TV If Carlsberg did away matches ....... My dream is that arse batter us for 93 minutes with Shawxy and the rest of the defence holding strong. Then in the last minute of injury time Arnie goes on a mazey run and takes a blatant dive in their peno box. Shaq takes the peno, it hits the bar, drops and goes in off the keepers head. Wenger goes apoplectic, attacks Arnie as he leaves the field and is arrested by the police. You forgot the bit where the referee misses an absolutely blatant penalty for them just before Arnie goes on his run.

Strangely enough I was looking at the fixture list for the next half a dozen games or so after the win on Sunday at Watford and it dawned on me that 3 of the games were definitely winnable, the other 3 not so.
For what it's worth, I reckon we're good for a minimum of 9 pts, winning the next three home games and possibly a draw in any one of the other 3 away games.
Which one of those away games we'll pick a point up is anyone's guess. Just a gut feeling.
So, it's a definite 9pts. A probable 10 pts from me.

burnley-win 3 points arsenal- lose 0 points soton-win 3points leicester- draw we will batter them like last season only for them to get a very lucky draw liverpool-not as good as they like to think they are-win 3 points chelsea-lose very healthy 10 points, but benji will be on here after the chelsea defeat to tell us we are all doomed

Last season, we had a similar run in December. And then the world sat up and took notice when we 'owned' (copyright Big Geordie) Man City and cruised to victory against their red shirted bastard cousins. I'm not saying we'll do it again, but it does show you just never know what will happen. Perhaps we are due another shock result out of that list. The big difference between that and this December is we beat them at home and this year we have three away games aginst the top 6 teams. That said, what last December showed was that Hughes could spring tactical surprises, and when he did, and his best inconsistent players (i.e. Arnie, Bojan, and Shaq) turned on the form then we could beat any team. If nothing else, Hughes will have taken pride in having successfully worked out of the box at the weekend. Liverpool and Chelsea look fairly unbeatable at the moment, but all good runs must come to an end, so why not us to do them. We did, after all, beat Liverpool at Anfield last season, albeit in the cup. Klopp didn't like meeting us, then, which he must be reminded of.

I would be glad, if we can finally deliver a good performance at Emirates, cause normally we play very bad there.
Last season we have had our best time in November/December with glorious victories against Chelsea, City, ManU and Everton.
Please do it again!
