www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-38090956Looking like quite the well behaved club these days. Well maybe not but some interesting figures there for some teams. No wonder Turf Moor always looks empty when the dingles play.

Said it many times that we're now a family club. Long gone are the days of football violence at Stoke. We may have a few youngsters that throw beer around on away days but that's about it.

The figures are very low, and as ever, that means very little interest from the media, unlike those years when they were high Overall 4.8 arrests per 100,000 attendees, a considerably lower ratio than, for example, Glastonbury. Furthermore less than half of those result in a conviction. Rather oddly, the highest rate by competition is 11.7 in the FL Trophy, which I certainly wouldn't have expected. Which two clubs had the most new banning orders ? One was Wolves and I'll guarantee you won't guess the other .........................Atherstone Town, who were responsible for 21 of the 25 below National League level. No idea what's going on there. Stoke City have the biggest gap between home and away arrests in the PL. We had the lowest ( just one all season ) number of home arrests but the 4th highest ( after Newcastle and the two Manchester clubs), 29, away from home. Angels at home but much less so away, although even there the numbers are still very small - an average of 1.5 per game.

Very strange state of affairs. Indeed. This was serious stuff and it seems a very odd place for it to break out, unless there was any kind of history between Atherstone and Barrow which seems unlikely. Maybe the fact that they knew there was no CCTV in the ground influenced it.
