Stands in line with UEFA fining Barcelona for their fans having Catalan flags.
It's what they do.
This is daft though.

Never has the saying "I don't know whether to laugh or cry" been more apt.
What a bizarre world we're living in.

This is what happens when you let pussies police language and political correctness. Europe has an internal mental disorder where in its attempt to stop anything into being deemed fascist, even a F'n poppy they do not see their own fascist ways. Madness.

What the flying fook would FIFA know about the sacrifices made on their behalf by others..... this is nothing short of an absurd level of hipocritical stupidity.
These corruption rife idiots have absolutely no right whatsoever to judge the actions of patriotic fans, players and clubs justifibly showing respect by displaying our recognised symbol of remeberance.
It's our Poppy, and long may it be displayed, respected and revered !

This from an organisation which is manifestly not fit for purpose with its boss suspended on corruption charges. FIFA needs to take its head out of its arse and start examining itself a little more critically before having a go at a relatively small FA for having fans in the stand wearing poppies.
You couldn't make it up

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38077727also investigating the IFA for having a minute's silence and laying a wreath of poppies good comment made on one of the other news pages though: "I was at the NI game and what I can't understand is if this is so offensive then why did the FIFA-appointed referee officiate over the one-minute silence before the game, signifying the start and end by blowing his whistle! Then again, this is FIFA we're talking about - consistency and decency are alien concepts to them." fair point and presumably (for consistency) FIFA will also have to charge their own appointed ref? i didn't see the fuss re: players being told not to wear poppies etc. (and explained why on other threads) but to now charge people because their supporters wore poppies and because they held a 1 minute's silence?????? that's just ludicrous

This is now verging on a vendetta against UK by FIFA. It's goes further than sport IMO, I see it as an attack on the British peoples culture of Remembrance and Respect for the fallen. No matter what these nobodies try and throw at us as punishment we should stand tall and refuse to accept anything. If the court of arbitration in sport whatever its called fail to uphold any appeal then we should just refuse to pay any fines and if there are points deduction we should just withdraw from the World Cup 2018 qualifying. FIFA really are an abomination answerable to nobody and it really is time the FA /SFA/FAW and Irish FA made a stand. Because if we don't and allow these pricks to stomp all over us then, in the eyes of the world, any future acts of Remembrance in the U.K. will be laughed at.

What do the Fifa supporters from the other week, in various posts, have to say I wonder?? Its getting worse. All the home nations FA's need to make a stand against all this, the fans will support them. Stick all your tournaments and lets bring back the Home Internationals.

These games would actually mean something to me (bragging rights over people we work with day in day out.) Only international game I've ever wanted go is against Scotland, any home national team would be great tbh.

Poppies aside, why the feck are we/anybody still in this organisation, it is the most corrupt organisation in the world - Let's be the first to feck em off. Would much rather play home internationals every 2 years, or like ruga the 6 nations, than play world cups in countries that can offer FIFA the most money for the event.
We should have a FEXIT vote

The problem with withdrawing from FIFA is that I think the premier league and football leagues are still governed by them so if the FA withdraw then by default I think that withdraws the premier league and the football league as well. That means that we wouldn't be able to compete in Europe at domestic level.
Is that correct?

Sadly, if we withdraw from FIFA we'd put ourselves in the same situation as, say, Colombia, at the time Neil Franklin flew to Bogota. Players around the world would become pariahs of world football, if they played in our leagues. I imagine they'd all leave the Premier League AND sue the clubs for the balance of their contracts. Not a happy prospect for any club.

Not sure the players would be happy about that so that would create its own up roar. Probably we should just pay the fine and carry on doing it regardless.
