0. Please explain to me the point of bringing Walters on for bojan!! Seriously I still do not get that substitution. Bojan had a shocker of a game. Should've hooked him post-penalty miss. I agree in taking bojan off but his replacement was complete nonsense. What on earth is Walters going to add?

2 - handicapped by injuries but the lack of organisation in the team is alarming. We have better players than Bournemouth, but they looked like a team.

Hamstrung by a few injuries but its his own fault the way the squad is made up, too many slow old, and not so old men. Starting line up was the same as I would have gone for but was worried about Bojan having very little effect (thats what you expect from him nowadays). Went back to his safety blanket with the subs which annoyed me but saying that it nearly worked.

7* Selection was what I expected but the team just didn't get going until an hour had passed, if the penalty had gone in I think we'd have gone on to win, I would have bought Sobhi on for Shaq but hen again I know the square root of fuck all about football management Gouranga.

7 - First of all let's get something straight, Bournemouth deserved the win today & there's no 2 ways about it. Now that that's out of the way, I honestly think people are being really harsh here today & are completely over-exaggerating the incompetence of our performance. Yes we were poor but think of the chances we had today, a header cleared off the line in the first half, a missed penalty, Walters & Shaq missing absolute sitters. We could've easily taken not just 1 but 3 points, even if it might have been undeserved. We were poor defensively in the first half but we improved as the game went on. Bournemouth had just 2 attempts on goal, both of which came inside the first 20 minutes of the game. And it's an easy thing to criticise the team selection in hindsight but the fact is pretty much everyone on this board agreed until 3PM this afternoon that that was the best lineup he could've sent out, given the absence of our 2 defensive midfielders. Allen is a much more defensive minded player than Imbula. And everyone on here criticising the manager for bringing on Crouch & Walters need to put on their objective lenses because both substitutions had an immediate impact. They may not like them but the fact is after their introduction, we caused Bournemouth a lot of problems & had atleast 6 decent attempts at goal in the last 20 minutes. And seriously what will it take for Crouchy to earn a bit of respect from Stoke supporters. Whenever he's come on from the bench (be it West Brom, United or West Ham) he has had an impact. Hughes had every reason to turn to him. Bringing on someone like Imbula or Ramadan would've been ineffective because the problem was not the individual players, the system wasn't working & the change to 4-4-2 was a smart move. What more could he have done? Hughes has made his fair share of mistakes but it's unfair to pin today's defeat on him? It's just one of those days that you get over & move on. How can you give a performance like that a 7, against a small club who had just lost to Sunderland, you need to be winning against teams like Bournemouth at home. They were all over us in the first half, they should've had a penalty and Stoke down to 10 men. First half they wanted it more which there's just no excuse for, we've got too many luxury players that aren't up for a battle which is one of the reasons we'll continue to lose to bottom half sides at home. We used to be a team on priding itself on battling unbelievably hard to grind out a result or make it difficult for the opposition, this shouldn't change with our style of play. Its not Hughes team selection that worries me so much as his defensive organisation from set pieces. A number of ex players have said they simply don't practice them which is absolutely shocking, you can still be a skillful passing side and be organised at set pieces the two are not mutually exclusive, the same goes for attacking set pieces, when was the last time we scored off one. Final point, what's happened to the home crowd, it's been my first home game this season as I no longer live in Stoke and go to away games more often but there was no atmosphere what so ever. That atmosphere used to help carry the side at home and is something else we've lost, so it seems the fans need to look at themselves too. It used to be said not many teams enjoyed playing on a cold night in Stoke, it seems a lads aren't much up for it either. Adios the Bear Pit, Hola Flat365. Rating 4*

Really sorry, but at best 4 out of loyalty. Ok so there were injuries, but, once you have a selection, you also have a pattern of play. The tactic of hoofing the ball to Bony became obvious early on. The fact that neither Bojan, Arlnie or Shaq were anywhere near him on the few occasions he managed to head the ball, meant we surrendered possession every time. Early on Bournemouth then put two defenders to challenge Bony in the air, thereby nullifying any threat at at all. What did we do, change nothing and continue with same process with the inevitable result. What was the point of having Bojan ,Shaq, Arline , in a team when from Grant upwards our tactic was to hoof to Bony? Those flair players have been most successful with a ball at their feet or tearing it up down the sides. The players need to take a long look at themselves, but how we set up Saturday was exposed very early on. The fact that our manager persisted with it, despite its obvious failure...is a shame. The fact that our plan b is P and J is........frankly worrying
