Seems the Sentinel was reporting this 10 hours ago, says rushed in with "chest pains".
Hope the great man is okay, my favourite Stoke player ever bar none!

The best footballer I have ever seen bar none. If I ever see anyone as good again play for Stoke we won't be far off the top of the table. He was that good.

I was too young for the first time. Although I felt like I'd seen him play the way my Dad described him to me.
The second time I was there and saw him orchestrate our survival from relegation. He made everything seem so simple.
'Look out, Huddy's back'
Get well soon Alan.

As you say when he came back he was brilliant and certainly was the main reason we didn't get relegated. Get well soon Huddy.

Anyone remember when Huddy riled Billy Bremner by sitting on the ball and beckoning him to try and get it off him? Bremner charged in like a raging bull and Huddy side-stepped him like a matador! Pure class

Not as good as Sir Stan, Jimmy Mclroy or Denis Violet in my opinion. Never saw those three live. A bit before my time. Hudson was just simply the best player I have ever seen play for Stoke, without a shadow of a doubt.
