Is anyone else fed up of having fixtures interupted by these matches. It just seems that as soon as we gain some momentum everything stops for them. I know it can work in a teams favour because of injuries and it giving players time to recover, but from a selfish point of view I just cannot wait for our fixtures to begin again

Hate them with a passion nowadays, lost all interest in watching England, even though I know I'll still do it.

Could they not group all these shite qualifiers together in January and fuck off to the Southern Hemisphere to play them. The league could have a nice Winter break and I wouldn't have to get cold. Suits me anyhow

There has to be a better way of doing it, surely. The one after just three Premier League games is a particularly maddening.

must admit, even as an England fan i find it frustrating because Stoke obviously always come first but it's the same in every country at the end of the day. it's not as if it's just poor ickle England that are effected by it and there's literally nothing we can do about it. it may seem daft to have them so soon after the last one but people have to remember, all leagues around the world start/take breaks/finish their seasons at different times. FIFA and UEFA can't just cater to the Prem and schedule international fixture dates just to keep us happy and sod everyone else.
to be honest i get far more fed up with the absolute nailed on certainty of a thread moaning about international breaks that are always exactly the same, EVERY bloody time England play a match.

Agree, really hate the international breaks! Not much of an upturn watching Norway these days either as they're really shite! They have a fantastic manager though, NOT!!!!

I get that it's cool to 'hate' internationals and that it's also even cooler to hate the haters but it does seem fucking incessant. 3 breaks and it's not even the middle of November. Maybe it's my mind playing tricks on me but I don't ever remember them being this frequent or intrusive.
They've obviously got to be played at some point and I'm not going to come out with any bollocks like scrapping them but international fixtures are hardly my favourite.

Can't be said often enough. The international programme is a fiasco - a Wednesday night with no cancellation of games was good enough in the 70s and it should be good enough now.

Love 'em - chance to do something else on a weekend without missing out on a domestic fixture.
For those forever moaning about international breaks get a hobby ffs and stop being so fugging dependent on football for your entertainment.

I agree with you, just wanted someone else to say it to take the brunt of the abuse how people can't find something else to do for a weekend is beyond me.

England v India Cricket in the morning then England v South Africa Autumn international Rugby Union in the afternoon. I'm looking forward to watching other sports without the stress of worrying about Stoke tbh.

Hope they lose tomorrow the over hyped, over pampered and over paid pretenders and the award for cliched post of the year goes to...... i presume Jack Butland and Ryan Shawcross (i.e. Stoke players with England caps) are over hyped, over pampered and overpaid as well, or is that line only relevant to non-Stoke players when they pull an England shirt on and every other weekend they're all fine and not over hyped or over paid? P.S. a little clue for you......players don't get paid for playing for England, their fee goes to Charity

I think it’s perfectly valid to question the unnecessary idiocy of the current schedule. You know how many qualifiers there are this Summer in a dead summer with no major tournament? Fucking one! One measley game! The Premier League finishes on May 28th. Then nothing for a whole fortnight and then one single qualifier on June 10th! There is no reason at all that three or four games couldn’t be played in this period.
After this single pathetic single game in the summer we then have to look forward to the Premier league being suspended after three games again next season so that we can play two games in frigging September!
All the other leagues pack up before us other than Italy so that’s not an issue.
If anyone can point out any sanity in this schedule, I’d be grateful.

If the england team was an animal it would of been shot in the back of the head long ago to be put out of its misery. Dont even get me started on carlo gareth southgate ancelotti, but all in all its quite fitting, jesus Ancelotti should be next england boss for me even though it woukd make not one jot of difference to our puss' in boots. Playing under pressure when playing for england my arse, playing under the influence of being shitter than they thought more like

Something very strange happens to our footballers whenever they come under any pressure in a competitive fixture. No manager no matter what his name will have any success until they get to the bottom of this mental frailty.

As someone who goes most games I enjoy the weekend off every now and again, travelling can become tiresome, especially when you get travelling days like Palace! Also ive managed to go and see Accrington this season, another ground ive not visited before

Every single international break you see a post like this "Can't stand the breaks, does anybody else hate these bloody breaks?" I swear it's not even new posters posting either, it's like the same group of people every single time.
