Hughes brought on Bojan for Whelan and we didn't miss him. Also, I have always believed Bojan's best position is as a striker and I believe that why Hughes bought him the first place. Dare we we start with this or is too early to experiment?
Grant Beardsley Indi Shawcross Pieters Shaq Allen Adam Arni Bojan Bony

I won't be returning to that Stadium again. What a waste of money and not fit for football

It's horses for courses in certain games which mean Cameron and Whelan need to sit in front of the back four.Cameron is vital in big games in the midfield which means at the minute it's one between Allen and Bojan for the other place.Only one winner at the minute and that's Joe Allen.Bojans time will come again with suspensions looming in the midfield.Cant believe you can just write Whelan off Mark because for me he's still the glue in our side.

An exhibition of 33 specially selected photographs featuring some of the most iconic moments since Stoke City returned to the top tier of football in 2008. The images, donated by 16 of the UK's leading sports photographers, recount the emotional roller coaster ride: the ups and downs, characters and camaraderie we in The Potteries love so much about football! The exhibition will be open to the general public from 10am on Saturday 12th November till Christmas.

Pretty sure that Lee Grants contract is up next summer at Derby so unless McClaren wants him back I can't see Derby standing in his way

Russ the goal you're thinking about from Whelan was against FC Thun at home from the edge of the box but his last goal was definitely against Blackburn in 2013

They were made to pay for their failings in front of goal on 58 minutes when Jon Walters teed up Whelan and his well-struck shot from the edge of the box deflected off Scott Dann and past a helpless Robinson.
