So I'll continue to call it as I see it, my tin hat is still on... but today was a Mark Hughes side doing what a Mark Hughes side does, getting tighter at the back as the season gets going (what a great signing Lee Grant was, he's giving a level of confidence Given couldn't imo), creative but tough going forward, we got a good point coming from behind but on a luckier day were worth 3, and that was done with injuries affecting selection and subs. Damn useful day at the office, Mr H.
9 from me

8 - We did well with what we had, but still need to improve balls into the box.

9 Good away point and performance with our main weapons missing. Couldn't have done much more, we didn't win but no ones to blame no finger to point everybody did their job.

10 from me. I think 7 times out of 10 that game would have ended in a win for us.

9. The meritocracy is back. Very interesting to see what he does against Bournemouth. He can't drop Charlie can he? Bojan in the running surely?

9. I'll never give a 10 when we don't win. He got it pretty much spot one today. I would have preferred to see Diouf instead of Walters, but he didn't do much when he came on. So can't really complain.

8* from me, think they were there for the taking and could've pushed on to get the opening goal. Would've liked to see us try 2 up top and gone for it 2nd half after we'd seen they offered very little.

9. The decision to go 4-4-2 with Crouchie and Bojan when we were chasing an equalizer was inspired

9. Key players out, mainatained the shape, rewarded Adam and Sobhi for decent performances last time out and good call to bring on Bojan.
Its going o be interesting to see what he does when Butland, Johnson, Shaqiri, Arnie, Cameron (and Affelay?) come back in contention...nice problem to have.

Not sure if he had told Bony to drop off more and not chase the ball high up or whether Bony couldn't be arsed.
Could have gone our way easily. Set up tight with the key players missing and changed the team when needed.
Not sure if Crouch was the right call as Collins was sitting deeper and just heading everything clear all game. Might have been better to get the ball down and run at him

8 from me was perplexed to say the least about the star for Jon W but in fairness he had a decent game, the subs were the right ones at the right time for a change and IMO we were unfortunate not to come away with all 3 points. Gouranga.

Put out a competitive starting 11 given the numbers of first choice players missing. Seeing Bony's subdued showing I wonder if he should have been subbed off earlier and I do wonder if Doiuf's pace might have been useful. But those are if and buts and it was a good managerial performance - bringing Bojan on in a game where we needed to make the most of whatever chance materialised late in the game was spot on.

A 9 from me, thought he did the best with what he had available.I thought Bojan was the right sub to bring on and also Crouch for a slightly subdued Bony also worked, but for a unfortunate deflection off Whelan we would have travelled back with the three points.

7 His subs were much better this time, but starting line up should have been better.

9* with suspensions and injuries to our two main wingers it wouldn't have suprised me if we had picked up nothing. The team he put out did the job and came away with a valuable point well done lads.

8 The starting xi really picked itself if Hughes wasn't prepared to tinker with the formation for a tough away game. The walters pick was the right one. Good call for a change with the subs.
