Just having a discussion with the lad about red and yellow cards.....he asked me a question:
How much does a yellow or red card cost in fines for a club?
We all know players accumulate points when getting cards but do they also have a monetary fine to a club or player?
If so does it go into a central "FA" pot and get carved up at the end of the year to charities or something?

£10 for a yellow £30 for a red I think. That's what it is in your standard Saturday/Sunday league and I'm sure it's the same for the pros

I also think it can vary with the seriousness of the offence. For example I think a red card for something like spitting or violent conduct is a heavier fine. Could be wrong

And clubs get fined if they get more than 5 in a game.
