Hi all, I am here to ask for help if you can. My good friend Chris Kelsall, a Stoke season ticket holder for as long as I can remember had a fall last sat night that resulted in him fracturing his skull, having a blood clot and being in an induced coma.... Monday morning he was rushed into theatre to remove part of his skull and have the clot removed. Sadly they found that there was more damage than they hoped for and Chris is in hospital fighting the best he can. Since then he has contracted pneumonia and has had a tracheotomy, he has today took his first breath on his own albeit for a short period of time. Chris works hard each day to provide a meal for his long term girlfriend and two young children, he like most doesn't have a money tree but he gets by like we all do, I started a just giving page up to help with bills, childcare or whatever they need as a family to be by his side night and day until hopefully he wakes up and starts a long road. in less than 24 hours we raised £2600 alone just on there from people who know and who don't know him. To add to that a local Charity called The Harvey Jones memorial have also donated £1000 to help. Harvey was a local pool player who represented the county and sadly died of Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. They raise money each year for good causes and for the Nhs to help people less fortunate. They have been giving £1000s away each year and that's a measure of the man and family the Jones are. Our total currently stands at around the £6000 mark I think that speaks volumes about the person we are looking to help. I understand that its getting closer to Christmas and money is tight but any help you can give will be well received and I'm a firm believer of paying it forward, one day this could be you or your family, god forbid that tho. if you could help in anyway please, One day hopefully he may be able to thank you himself. If you cant help with a donation please say a prayer..... thanks so much. www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/ChrisKelsallgod bless you xx

Sounds like the exact same thing that happened to my Dad (there was a minutes applause for him in the 12th minute in the opening game vs Liverpool last season), we're over a year into his recovery now, happy to answer any questions the family might have about it all if it helps. Good luck to Chris.
