To be fair Sparky does try to take on the questions given to him unlike other managers who just rock up with their own agenda either whatever is top of mind or whichever 'mind games' they think they should play.
However Sparky doesn't share much of his inner soul does he?
And given that you are not going to get through 20 minutes without uttering a few banalities!

Bit early for a presser innit? Three full days prior to matchday.

The only thing to come out of that is Geoff is a doubt for Monday. Hope he'll be okay because I don't fancy Adam starting any time soon.

Any mentions of Shobhi or Imbula? Are they on the naughty step or something?

Any mentions of Shobhi or Imbula? Are they on the naughty step or something? Nothing mentioned regarding those 2. Just said the lads not playing need to be patient as the team is playing very well. They will get their chance so need to make sure they're ready when called upon.

That's 3 press conferences since Imbula completely left out of squad - I can only assume that the people posing the questions have been told NOT to ask about Imbula as surely that would be the first question you would want to ask - very strange

No point asking the same thing again, is there?

No point asking the same thing again, is there? Absolutely! I would want to know how far off the squad our biggest signing is. His he training well to try and get his place back? Perhaps it's just me then - he's been asked lots about Butland before but the question gets asked again (as it should) in the weekly conference

Butland got injured and he'll come back into the team when fit. Imbula was dropped due to his poor form and will only come back in when there's an injury or we're playing poorly. Hughes and a few of the players have said Imbula has been training well and he just needs to be patient now.

I heard there was more to it than just poor form but that could be bullshit, as for Butland he will still be our number one but I don't think Hughes will drop Grant as soon as Butland's fit if he continues playing as well as he his at the moment.

Imbula has had some pretty poor games but so have a lot of the players. Dropped to the bench and then out of the matchday squad altogether, theres no way Imbula's absence can be explained by performances alone.

Who will play right back if Geoff isn't fit? You don't think Bardsley will play? It depends on how hard his grandads death has hit him and his family.

He plays with emotion and fight anyway so he'll no doubt be highly charged for this. I guess Sparky will leave it up to him like you say.

I've watch most of these in the past but gave up because it's too hard to hear the questions. You'd think the people uploading the press conference video would know this, so I can only assume they don't care to fix it. Seriously, how hard could it be to hang a mic over the reporters and feed it into the recording system?

Must save all the charisma for the team talks our les :D he'd challenge dario gradi in the interview sleep time challenge That was a long 10 minutes and 10 minutes i'll never get back Yeh, much better if he'd spent the 10 minutes telling us how wonderful Swansea are because they won the South Wales Cup in 1922... Nice to see you all positive after 2 consecutive wins, just been reading all the praise in your posting history, absolutely gushing... Must be really upsetting for you that our bad run of results is over, you can't wait for the bloke who's delivered 3 seasons in the top ten for the first time in our history to go, what a pisser :D Plenty of tickets available for games on a regular basis at The Hawthorns I gather...

Did I hear him say there was a decent chance Butland would break down again during his second come back or was that just my natural pessimism kicking in?

Did I hear him say there was a decent chance Butland would break down again during his second come back or was that just my natural pessimism kicking in? It wasn't quite as blunt as that but he definitely did allude to it being a distinct possibility.
