1. Continue to drop in at least three "clearly"s.
Once noticed, it cannot be unnoticed.

2. "to be perfectly honest" 3. Also has been known to use the words "injury/injured/hurt" quite often...

I know the talent that we have in the group, the group is strong, the group is grouped together in a very tight-knit group style. The group has been together and grouping up very well in training. So it's good for the group that this group of players get the best out of the group.

"Take the game away from them". Though we haven't heard that one much lately.
"The building" is another one.

"Clearly" is really becoming his go-to word and is overtaking "to be perfectly honest" at the top of his list.
He does speak very well by manager standards, but he has got stock phrases he reaches for all the time!
"From my point of view" "really pleasing" "embraced" "mentality" "the group" "very accomplished" "gameplan" "the manner" "he has the capacity to do that" "we produced" "we anticipated" "our intention" "in terms of" "understanding what was required"

I don't know about Hughes but TP delivered one of his classics yesterday
"When you look at the result as a whole, we're pleased with the point because they've got a top team. With the quality they've got they can score in the last minute, as they did, or injury time. They're real quality and put you on the back foot because of the pace and quality that they've got.
3 x quality in one sentence........Not bad going

"To be perfectly honest" always makes me smile. Does that mean sometimes he can be perfectly dishonest. I think he means "frank" not "honest".

Sounds very Shakespearean.

Haha made me chuckle this
Although none of the above will ever top Toxics interviews.
The day he claimed Griffin had the best game he's ever seen a full back play vs Burnley I think it was.. has to be the best interview quote ever recorded.
Griffin was utter wank that day. Surreal

At least he doesn't keep mentioning 'the family' like some Mafia underboss.
Or referring to mid-table opposition in reverential tones.

I think most people use certain words more frequently than others and that these preferred words change over time. It is even more likely that anyone would do this in a press conference environment where the questions very rarely stray from the same format with only the names changed. I think he comes across quite well in his interviews.

It's the beard thing that's intriguing recently. At least twice now it's been Grizzly Adams in the pre match presser and clean shaven at the post match. Is this some kind of new found superstition?
