Hull City striker Dieumerci Mbokani, 30, will not play again for a month because of a torn hamstring.(Hull Daily Mail) Hull are set to give a debut to 17-year-old Josh Tymon - an academy player earning £160 a week - against Stoke on Saturday. (Sun) If it's as bad as above then 2-0 Stoke More likely 1-1 Tymon has received positives for his Cup appearances {last season}, and England attention. No matter, as you rightly infer their already thin squad is further depleted. I'm sure Robertson will be a massive miss in defence. There is of course the possibility that players in a 'scratch' team have a lot to prove and a place to win. Can sometimes bring out performances. Always rated Sean Maloney, on the wane perhaps but I remember him destroying us when he played for Wigan. Dangerous from set pieces etc. Shame about Johnson and hope Bardsley's fit to step in otherwise it's a head scratcher. I reckon our attack will be too much for them. I think we'll reverse the LCup result. It'll be interesting to see if Hughes chooses to tighten up like recently or play with more abandon like he usually does away. Quite liked how we set up against them in that match. A tweaked and more attacking 433. Grant Johnson Shawcross Bruno Pieters Cameron Allen Imbula Arnautovic Moses Sobhi
Charlie for Imbula, Diouf for Bony. Hopefully Bardsley for Johnson and a front three of Shaq, Moses, Arnie. Looking forward to it. Moses?

Like my trip to Hull in the 1988/89 season I'm going 4-1 Stoke. If Allen, Shaqiri and Bony are half as good as Beeston, Hackett and Morgan were that day it will be a joy to watch...

I keep calling Bony Moses. It's something deep in me psyche that thinks he'll be a saviour. I'm going to have to scurry back and edit me post. Cheeeers.

2-2
We'll play well in patches and lead twice but allow them to dominate the second half and get a late equaliser.

Always a bit anxious when we come up against sides on bad runs or with new managers. More often than not we're the ones who end up losing.

Given our start we have to treat every game like a cup final. We are in serious trouble and failing to win this one leaves us having to beat swansea who will be much tougher. We have to take three points.
Clean sheets are what we need to focus on. If we defend well again we have enough quality to pinch a winner

Our defence should be good enough to keep these out, 0-2 away win, come on Stoke.

Likely same team again Unfortunately also same unbalanced bench again too - whether he's doing it to deliberately point a finger at the recruitment team I'm unclear but there's something amiss somewhere with either his thinking or his relationship with Scholes Anyhow, Hull are shite normally and currently even shittier than normal so still expect to win. Doubt it will be a walkover so I'd take a 1-0 with a fluky winner from a complete shank by Bony that hits both posts, Arnie's arse, Shaq's calf muscle and finally in-off Joe 'the Messiah' Allen's bearded chin

2-1 stoke. If Joe Allen is fit then him and Bony to score.

With Bardsley a major doubt, I'd go for this:
Grant
Cameron Shawcross Indi Pieters
Whelan Allen
Shaq Bojan Arnie
Bony
I know some people won't like that I've broken up the Whelan Cameron partnership but we're playing against Hull. We should be fine with that midfield.

Confidence is a precious commodity. He'll want to keep the performances going and points ticking over.
A point away in this league is never a bad result, but, against my better judgement I'm going for a Stoke City away win.
It's interesting he switched Cameron back into centre mid after Bardos injury last week.
I suspect he may stick with Glenn and G-Cam in front of the back 4 for now.
If Johnson and Bardsley are unavailable, I wonder if M,M,M Marc Muniesa will make another appearance at RB.
2-0 Stoke and I think Bony will score. I thought he looked sharper last week.

Not one question on our £18M man not making the bench.
I know the nationals are there as well but do we have the worst local media in the country?

If Bardo is unfit, does he move Geoff away from the sterling job he is doing in the centre of the park or shoehorn in Muniesa or AN Other so as not to ruin our new found solidity? If Geoff did move, who comes in - Imbula, Bojan, Adam??? Adam could slot straight in whilst the others would have to play ahead and mean Joe drops deeper. Hughes could always play Walters on the right and move Shaq inside to play as a number 10 - I can SOOOO see him doing that (please God no)!! I'd love him to at least consider moving Shaq inside, to play Sobhi out wide left, Arnie right, and go at them. I can't see him doing that, mind you.
For me, it is time to see if "el petit genie" can come back in and weave his magic. Hull are a poor team with injury problems and coming off a real hiding - we need to go there to be positive and look for the win.
Grant
Cameron Shawcross Indi Pieters
Whelan Allen
Shaq Bojan Arnie
Bony

Part of me is hoping Bardsley is injured so Bojan has a chance of a run out

We really could do with a win , need to get away from the bottom three ASAP .
Hull will battle but we have much better players and should be capable of winning 1-0 0r 2-1

This is the measure of whether we have really improved, or whether Sunderland are really that bad. Usually ends in a draw. That should bethe minimum.

Not one question on our £18M man not making the bench. I know the nationals are there as well but do we have the worst local media in the country? One interesting comment when asked about league position was: "We are maybe within one win of where we expected to be." Presume this to mean the Stoke management expect to beat West Brom, but none of the other opponents before Sunderland.

Bojan has been poor for months now & Allen has been more influential then he has ever been in the number 10 role. Why change a winning team?

If Bardsley is injured I'd go for playing Muniesa at right back. He did fine against Sunderland and our upturn in form coincides with a midfield of Cameron, Whelan and Allen - if it ain't broke...
