Job done with the traditional puzzling subs. 8

8*
Loses a point because the opposition were so bad that it is difficult to say how we would have done against a decent side. Loses 2 points for odd subs but gets one back for bringing Muniesa on to allow Cameron to return to the midfield which was suffering in his absence.
I'd have subbed Bojan on when Allen went off and either Crouch or Diouf would have made more sense as a sub for Bony who, despite still not scoring, won a lot in the air and did a decent job leading the line - we lost that When Walters came on.

we were playing sunderland. they have loads of gaps in there squad. all hughes had to do was put his players on the pitch in the right order. wed have found gaps no matter what apprch we took. Maybe I'm a bit thick but you've completely lost me there.. Care to elaborate and let us know what exactly the "right order "was ? it wasnt a master plan from hughes. he just needed to field his team. put them in there natural places. the midfielders in midfield. the defenders in defense. sunderland were goin to leak goals. there team is crap. ours is good.

So he gets a rating of 0 on the basis that the team picked itself? Or, possibly a minus figure for incomprehensible subs? Is that what you are saying?

7* Is the tinkerman finally realising the value of an unchanged team? (I know there was one enforced change.)

8 steady throughout although would have liked to have seen Diuoff given a chance to run at O'Shea for 20 minutes late on instead of SJW.

7. Positives: - We won - Clean sheet - Picked a line-up that worked - At times played Shaqiri more centrally and he had his best game in quite a while - Scored from a corner (perhaps we actually practiced them). - Resisted the temptation to bring on Crouch
Negatives - Didn't even have Sohbi on the bench (he would have had a field day running at that lot) - Missed an opportunity to finish Sunderland off by bringing on Walters instead of Bojan or Diouf. So instead of scoring 5 or 6 we sputtered to a 2-0 win.

Perfectly good starting lineup but that bench just pisses me off and I won't score him high for continuing to piss me off.
I do like how he has given Shaq and Arnie more freedom to put themselves around the pitch, we look much better on the forward line.

Also can you tell us which players were out of position from the starting 11 on Saturday?

7* for me. Thought Sunderland were pathetic and offered very little.
We looked comfortable but never pushed on. Wrong subs, although Adam did crack the bar.
Think we really could've hit 4 or 5 had we really gone for it.

Wonder if he keeps bringing Walters on to keep him in the public eye ready for a January departure? Possibly along with Crouch and Adam?
Seems nonsensical otherwise ....

Edit: he does have a point though - 6 points from a possible 24 is not exactly the best of starts.

I don't think anyone's trying to claim it is the best of starts, but that's beside the point, he's obviously on a wind up, no one's as thick as he's making himself out to be.

You obviously haven't been listening to Donald Trump or more accurately 40% of the American electorate that's going to vote for him.Edit: after thought in bold.

You say you are not American - yet you spell defence as "defense" - how come? And, as well as an aversion to Hughes, you have an aversion to the use of capital letters - why?

7. Loses points for bench / subs. Also our defensive shape is still far from sorted. They offered little going forward but there were still a couple of occasions when the ball was around our box there was a whiff of panic in the air.
