WTF has he done to merit a position for captain of the national squad. Fuck the judge!

Would any of the other squad members be more deserving? To be fair, I think it should just automatically go to the most-capped player in the XI like some other national teams do. That would take all the non-football noise away from this over hyped position

I hope Rooney is finished. He plays for that lot!

To be fair they're carrying on the tradition of the Captain not being able to string a word together in English. Becks, Gerrard, Rooney now Jordan.

I think it's quite fitting considering how shit we are much like Southgate will be named next manager.

Haven't really been interested in England since rocking Roy's appointment, saw a little bit of the second half on Saturday and was bored shitless, this has convinced me that watching paint dry is preferable to watching that shower of shit.
Pick players from the championship, at least they will be excited to play for the country and put some fucking effort in.

It's a sorry state of affairs really. Henderson is nothing more than a bang average midfielder. I'd drop most of the old guard and build a team around a spine of Butland (when fit), Stones, Smalling, Dier, Alli and Kane/Rashford. They've all shown they've got the potential to be decent footballers and have time on their side to gel into a decent team.
As for the captaincy, I've no idea who I'd give it to. Hart and Cahill are the most experienced regulars but neither would get in my side ideally

Bang average player to be captain of a bang average team. And to think not long ago we had Scholes, Lampard, Gerrard, Cole, Terry, Rio, Becks to pick from. Rooney should never have been made captain after slagging the fans off in South Africa for daring to boo another crap performance in a major tournament. If Rooney played for Stoke he would be no where near the England team, never mind captain . Same goes for Henderson.

Regarding the captaincy. Do Nivea sponsor the England team? Luckily we have the cream of English coaching talent throughout the nationals age groups. Southgate. Boothroyd and Keith (is it the mental one?) Downing.

WTF has he done to merit a position for captain of the national squad. Fuck the judge! Who cares? It's a piece of fabric you put around your arm. It makes absolutely no difference to anything. You may as well argue that wearing blue socks means you have more chance of winning the lottery. It isn't a case of "we put too much emphasis on it", it's a case of "we shouldn't put any emphasis on it." Pick the best team. End of. Leaders will be leaders regardless of if they have an armband on or not. It shouldn't even be a topic of conversation.

Has had a very good season for Liverpool. Correct. I think his game has come on leaps and bounds under Klopp and he's deemed worthy of the captaincy there so I have no issues with it. Rather him than Gary Cahill who's lucky to even be in the team. Henderson isn't a world beater but credit where it's due he's certainly improved....

Jordan Henderson........ The reason why I wouldn't bother watching England if they were playing at my local park +1, I fell out of love with International football years ago. If they were playing in my back garden I'd draw the curtains.

Who would everyone's captain be then, if not Henderson? Hart is a shout but who else is there? He's probably the best of a very very bad bunch.
