Of course the obvious players such as Fuller, N'zonzi, Lawrence. For me, the player I really liked was Paul Gallagher. Watching this clip of his best moments in a Stoke shirt reminded me that he was pure class.
Who else do you miss watching?

I miss watching Shaqiri in the Central Attacking Midfielder position instead of LM or LW. He is a highly technical player and he is obviously pacey, but he loses the ball too much trying to dribble the opposite Right Back and he would be much more useful distributing the ball around and make the necessary runs to position himself for a deadly longshot from time to time.

SJE. Oozed quality of a standard that was rarely seen for Stoke at that time

Crooks, Heath, Overson, O'Callaghan, Smith, Fox... all turned around a potentially miserable Monday morning comparing notes with me school mates into respect for the Stokie and even induced a whisp of envy. I spent my school days in East Anglia.

Vince Overson
Stylish big lad, always felt confident of a clean sheet when he played. Used to like him getting forward as well and getting a few goals. To be fair he was helped by being part of the best back four the lower leagues ever saw at that time (Butler, Sandford, Cranson etc) -just went about their business grinding out results. Great captain as well

Knew where the goal was. Good in the air. Scored a lot of goals sliding on his arse.
Legend.

People have mentioned most of mine. Chambo, steino, the macari back 4 etc but i really liked brynjar gunnarsson in his first spell. Always a better side with him on the pitch.
