But he sulks and only passes backwards. He slowed up our play so much we did well to get £8m for him

First the PL champions now Barca after the Zonz, I hope our management team have inserted sell on fees it would be common sense after wouldn't it I suspect there isn't a sell on as it's one thing "inserting" it - it's another the buying club agreeing to it and not striking it out. With a year left on his contract £8m was a decent price - if we would have wanted a sell on then we would have probably had to reduce our cash up front demands - so consequently you would be taking a hit now for something that may give you a pay out in a couple of years time - or may come to nothing if he gets injured or performs poorly and his value drops to rat shit. Anyone can be wise after the event as to what should have been "common sense" at the time

What deal do you reckon you could have done?

Seville are one of the best run clubs in world football when it comes to making money from transfers.
Imagine a 22m profit on a player in just 18 months.

However (1) they haven't sold him yet but more pertinently (2) they manage to win things and play in Europe. Tends to add a bit of value to your assets does that!!

This rears its head every few weeks and gets really old.
You can tell the people who understand football and business, from the petty haters with an agenda.

Anyone can be wise after the event as to what should have been "common sense" at the time £8m was a terrible price Considering since we sold him we have spent £18m + £13m and the costs for MVG at least £35m, 4X more than we sold him for and 8X more than we bought him foryep a terrible price

It's no good keep knocking mate ....they just don't understand the difference between an English player ( especially u24 ) with one year left and a foreign player despite it being pointed out on every Steven Nzonzi thread It really isn't worth it

He's good enough. As a pure defensive midfielder with the ability to set the tempo of a game he is the best of his type I've seen at the Britannia/Bet365.
We can be greatful we had him and hope we get another!

Massively under-rated by both club and supporters. Oh how we miss him.

But he sulks and only passes backwards. He slowed up our play so much we did well to get £8m for him You've got to be joking we gave him away . If he had played for any other club they would have asked for a lot more we seem to let players go to cheaply ,ether its because their contact is running down or the club are to sympathetic (play in the champions league ,iv'e got to think of my family but don't mind sitting on the bench )

He rocked the boat 3 summers on the bounce ....He didn't want to stay The club have got Shawcross Butland Arnoutovic etc on long term deals and they admiitted defeat with Nzonzi because he wasn't even entering into negotiations ....the same with Begovic

West Brom stuck out for £20M plus for Berahino, who isn't in the same league and hung on to him despite his repeated demands to go. Be interesting to see what the tribunal sets as compensation when he goes after his contract expires. Maybe we were too soft or just wanted anything we could get. I'd have preferred trying to hang onto the Fonz.

His first bad performance and this mb would of been rabid and toxic towards him as would the stadium We would of had greedy bastard songs booing etc etc If you think otherwise you are deluded
