The international break has come at the right time. We could potentially only have to deal with another 2 games without him.

Great news, wishful thinking but if he's back for the Sunderland game, the 'England's Number One' somg could be just the catalyst to get the Bet rocking again like yesterday once more.

Never in the history of sport, has so much, been owed by so many, to so few.... Well said, that man. Gooaaarrrrn Jack! Just LOVE the guy, and am so proud to have him as part of SCFC. I'm hoping it will be a home game when he returns to playing, because when he runs on to the pitch the cheer he'll get is going to raise the roof. What a star!

I thought Grant looked every bit the capable Premier League 'keeper yesterday, but Jack coming back will be a big boost for the side.

I thought Grant looked every bit the capable Premier League 'keeper yesterday, but Jack coming back will be a big boost for the side. Thought he had very little do and did it tidily and competently with a good save as well , unlucky to conceed good game all round There was one corner in the first half he claimed superbly, reaching over a crowd of players to pluck it out of the air. I've nothing but respect for everything Given's achieved in his career, but I remarked at the time that there's just no way he'd have had the athleticism for that these days. I feel much more comfortable wit Grant there.

Anyone expect Jack to be here next season? If he didn't get injured when he did, and kept up his form in the last couple of months of last season, I think we may have had a few sniffing around him in the summer. In a strange way it could have bought up another year with him. If he does go he won't be cheap though, seeing as he's young, English, and tied to a long contract.

This definitely helps because Butland is not only a strong physical presence, he also gives the back four confidence that he's going to come out and claim the ball, especially on corners and free kicks.
