A full life at 87
Far to young to remember his golfing exploits but enjoyed watching him with jack, and Gary Player in the masters par 3.
Sporting legend

Well he's certainly getting some air time on R4, but I've never heard of him. That said, I don't do golf. RIP Arnold

I remember the story that Harry Carpenter used to tell about when he had to commentate on the first Open Golf broadcast and the BBC said they'd get someone to help him, they got Arnold Palmer.
Arnold was a great philanthropist to, he was responsible for the Children's hospital in Orlando which bears his name.
I read that up to about 10 years ago he was still one of the highest paid golfers in the world.
R I P sir.
