No chance Sunderland Stoke Swansea hull all far far worse they will be fine if lower than last year They look the same as us, they'll be in the mix just the same if they can't change things.

They won't go down but on paper there opening fixtures have been a lot easier than ours. There problem has been too many new signings and injuries.

Ah too many signings. Good job people have short memories. Was that a dig They do the same every year I think it was 15 this season. We didn't do enough IMO. Looking at our starting 11 this season only Indi, Allen and Bony have been bought in. They had a great season last season and partly through injuries look vastly different. We were struggling towards the end and didn't address certain positions notably res GK and DM as well as we should have. I don't think there's anything wrong with what I've said. They signed 15 we bought in maybe 4-5. I'd say it's a fair point to say that one club bought in too many players one not enough.

What a dreadful spectacle it produced.
Don't know if there was any off-the-pitch stuff today, but the entire package was awful. Something about that stadium just seems to suck the life out of games.
Funereal atmosphere all 'round - felt like it was being played on the moon.
Can see why they've struggled there. Hard to see what they can do to change it around.

Soulless, vacuous, dreary bowl of apathy. The epitome of modern football toss.
Another nail in the coffin of football.

It is not a football stadium. It was fantastic being there when the Olympics were on but today was very different. Pitch is too far away and there is no atmosphere. Even worse though are the logistics. It is a stadium built for a different sport with no away fans. So many polic and stewards needed to keep the supporters apart and make everyone walk miles to public transport. It really doesn't work well

Tony Gale (who was excellent as co-commentator) was pointing out the problems quite a lot. Great for away fans who are all together to back their team vocally but i never heard West Ham belting out anything in the entire game. Hard to see how the place can be improved.

Their next 4 fixtures:
Spurs A, Man Utd A, Arsenal H, Liverpool A
Hard to see them going down, but they'll be down there for a few more weeks which will keep the microscope on them

They should be forced to pull it down and pay to have it rebuilt.

Soulless, vacuous, dreary bowl of apathy. The epitome of modern football toss.Another nail in the coffin of football. I don't agree with the comment I have underlined. The stadium is unique as far as this country is concerned - in that it was never designed with football in mind - let alone top flight football. The attempts to convert it for football use have been hampered because a football club was never seen as the prime tenant at the design stage AND Seb Coe and others insisted the track remain as a mill stone "legacy". So, it doesn't work in the way Man City's stadium works - that was always designed with football in mind and it was always planned to remove the track. And the Stade de France (which retained the track) was always designed with football in mind after the games with PROPER (quickly) retractable seating - and sight lines more suitable for football. What you sow so shall you reap - it was a doomed project from the start. Spurs had the right idea - they wanted to demolish it and rebuild a proper stadium on the site.

They should be forced to pull it down and pay to have it rebuilt. No way would scary Kaz and the porn brothers agree to that. They have made way too much loot out of the move and the tax payer has funded their new home big time. Saw the other day that they even allowed Upton Park to be blown up as part of a film set, nice little revenue earner before they pull it down and build hyper expensive apartments on the site (around 75% of the development). Even Sir Trevor (I was semi shit when I played for England) Brooking backs the new 'ground' , he really tows the company line does old Trev. Profiteering rules the day at that club I'm afraid lads, in a strange way I feel really sorry for the die hard Hammer's fans, in my opinion they have been well and truly shafted by a bunch of crooks. Very sad. Incidentally, are we really filling in our little corner next year? (Tin hat on time)

The atmosphere was electric, loved the old ground.

They should be forced to pull it down and pay to have it rebuilt. Unfortunately the people who are in charge do not spend/use/waste their own money they spend/use/waste other people's money/pensions like Sir Philip Green and Robert Maxwell.

Good day out, just a shame made to walk miles back to Stratford International for train home! I assume Stoke provided free bus transport today? There are a lot of Stokies like myself who don't live near Stoke and in a case like today it would be good if the club would provide transport from places like Euston and King's Cross to the London grounds, like the buses from Stoke town to to the bet365 (but I wish they would run a bus from Stoke station).

I was told that there is a "super injunction" in place re. individuals at the centre of the move. Anyone else heard anything? I can't say anything because of my super injunction. Oh c'mon, we've all seen your injunction - it's not that super!
