Steve Kean's Blackburn beat SAF's Man U, away, when they were hopeless.
Anything is possible.

On paper we should get battered but it can be the sort of game where we make a fist of it - the fact it's on Sky, on Sunday, and a stupid o'clock kick off never bodes well......
Who fucking knows!!!?

We had an encouraging performance against WBA. If we go into the Man Utd game with the same confidence then we could get a result we do have quality players. We must learn how to defend set pieces if we do that then we will be fine. I would love for us to get a result against Man Utd especially for Mark Hughes keep the faith Come on Stoke

We need to go to Old Trafford and compete.
We have an appalling record there, but it would be nice to see us go there and not have our pants taken down again.
Our minus goal difference doesn't need another four or five adding to it.

I'd be willing to give up my left testicle if it'd get us a win at OT, especially against the Uber-Cunt who runs that sh*t club these days.

Totally different mindset, with nothing to lose, only pride, we may just surprise, and in the same way, Man U maybe a bit too confident and take us for granted...Therefore my prediction is a very close Man U 6 Stoke 0....

Pogba and the gaps our midfield leave could be fun.
Allen if he plays where he did today has to get closer to Bony. He needs to run less and focus more on linking with him.

The only times we've looked vulnerable have been when overrun in midfield, or on the counter.
Providing Rooney and to a lesser extent Fellaini aren't stinking the place up Stoke are not overpowering the midfield, so that's out.
On the counter no Stoke player is faster than Valencia, Bailly, Smalling or Shaw, so that will be tough too.
The team Mourinho picks will determine the outcome of this game.

Tough one next week against United, who scored 3 goals from corners against Leicester. I'm sure the Hughes out crew can't wait!! How would you set us up?

Pogba and the gaps our midfield leave could be fun. Allen if he plays where he did today has to get closer to Bony. He needs to run less and focus more on linking with him. Would not surprise me if Cameron is tasked to keep close to him at all times - it might well be his best position (well other than the bench) My biggest fear is Rashford v Pieters - Arnie will have to track back a lot (strangely the other side I think Shaq will have an easier task as Johnson on his own could counter the, for me, hopelessly overated Linggard). Another worry would be Whelan trying to pick up Mata - Allen would surely be a better bet to track his runs. We need pace on the bench - Sobhi hopefully fit, Diouf (please give him a chance LMH) or go balls-out and Deploy N'Goy TM in the 2nd half

If we put up a fight and lose then fair do's but if we roll over and have our tummies tickled then that's another story. Will be happy with a point personally....if we manage all 3 then I'm f...ing ecstatic.

fans are deluded as fuck if they honestly think we're beating the shit at thier place. Best we can do is park the bus and salvage a point. Then give mark the benefit of the doubt and push on for 3 games. That takes us to 10 games. If we're still in the relegation zone then I'm sorry but he has to go.

It'll be another four goal tonking I'm afraid. Might as well get it over with.
Given the apparent indifference of the club to the seriousness of our predicament, might as well get the season over with. There's still some good teams in the Championship.

So how do we go about getting something here?! I'd make one change with Diouf starting in place of Bony. Nothing against Bony but I guess were going to be under pressure most the game and our only chances will come on the break. So I'd play Diouf for his pace - remembering his goal at Man City

Totally irrelevant I know but fuck me the communication at Stoke is utter shite Walking out of the stadium today the announcer was plugging this game saying tickets were now on general sale and proceeded to give prices Has nobody told him it sold out one week ago ? Talking about the announcer/ sound system how come before he speaks it sounds like a large fire cracker or bomb going off mostly at half time, whats going on there.

Some pessimists on here. Isn't unpredictability one of the major attractions of football?
I certainly haven't gone to the trouble and expense of going to OT to see a game at such a daft time, necessitating an overnight stay on Saturday, to get there, in order to see a 100% cert adverse result.
And whatever the outcome, it is seldom that any game is totally negative, only that the supporter is.
Come on lads, give us a shock.

Apart from last season, we have done pretty well away at United.
We could win if we play to our capabilities.
