If it wasn't for Grant Man U would have been out of sight. Still, a resolute performance and maybe they can get the elusive win against Sunderland. Big questions remain regarding Bony and his hunger/fitness and ball retention. Stoke gave the ball away way too much. A fortunate point! What do we pay Lee Grant to do exactly? Honestly, the better result, the thicker the arse gravy becomes on this board.

Watched the full match again this morning and not really convinced about Shawcross's positioning, in that I mean he looks as if he stays firmly in a position and not marking a player and then reacts far, far to late when trying to close down.
His reactions when the balls on the floor in and around him look so cumbersome and he rarely verbally organises players in and around him.
Only an observation mind but the CM must be more mobile to track backs and fill gaps.

I love Ryan, and he used to be our rock, but IMHO, he looks ponderous at times. I am worried about him nowadays, and that is genuine concern. Can I just add, having watched match of the day this morning, how appalled I am that they did not show Herrera's foul. Definite sending off that was!

Picked up this classic from the redcafe forum...
"We are cursed. No other explanation. No matter how much money we throw at it, no matter who we hire the post-SAF curse just won't end."
Its gold. Pure gold. I've been reading them for an hour....

I have a theory... that all the 'village idiots' that have gone missing have set up their own secret village called Dunceville. Even then, Dunceville has one stand out idiot who is the village idiot in the village of idiots. Unfortunately, they are still connected to the internet thus allowing Scrotnig to continue posting despite his banishment.

Goals win games not chances , all the they should have scored 5 or 6 is bollocks , look at the result in a months time and it will still say Man U 1 Stoke 1 , which is a Massive improvement on the last 30 odd years there

Some of our critical fans want to criticise both ways. We get a draw at OT and they say we were lucky and it doesn't reflect how well we played. But when we played Hull we had 21 shots, 7 on target and 1 goal. Hull had 3 shots on target and scored twice and we're out of the league Cup. That's football.

He always has appeared to be ponderous ,but he is deceptively quick once in stride. He'll get fitter soon.
