In these troubled times, remember not all is doom and gloom. My sister is visiting, and she brought me a belated birthday present (below) What a fantastic present - and I am sure this is the harbinger of better times!

Amazing they had to play so many games to get to the final. Is that some kind of domestic record? Most matches in a cup winning run? Or are there old cases of even more matches being played in early FA Cups for example?

Or are there old cases of even more matches being played in early FA Cups for example? It's only just fully dawned on me looking at that that it was FOUR games with West Ham rather than just three... I realised it was two replays but had forgotten it was two legs in the first place

Oh! I forgot to mention, and the opening post has just reminded me. We had some time in Florence recently, and stayed in one of those shabby chic hotels (if you know what I mean), and while having breakfast one morning, I noticed an old Stoke programme front on the dining room wall. It was from 1965, and I think it was Tony Allen on the front. It was in a picture frame, by the way! Just thought I'd pop this in.

You could wallpaper an entire house with all of the matchday programmes from that season. We played 71 matches in all if you throw in the Anglo Italian Cup and Texaco Cup.
Did anyone do them all??

I'd love one of those, are they available? She's not sure where from, either: A. Memorabilia shop in Windermere B. Craft fair in Buxton C. Stoke shop in Hanley (she thinks it wasn't there, but they do a good red & white bottle bag that sings "Delilah" when opened that I can recommend!) Its about a third size (prints rather than the original programmes), about 3ftx1ft (1mx30cm for you young uns). Good luck!
