He's as wide as a house isn't he, wider than he is high?
Looks solid holding the ball up but not hard to see why he didn't suit Man City, he's not exctly what you'd call 'quicksilver'.
Let's see, needs to work doesn't it, if he doesn't fire I think we're sunk without trace.

Since his transfer to Man City he's hardly played a game. We've got no choice but to persevere. It looks like 'Arnie' will be top scorer again! A winger who can't shoot and can't head a ball!

He has come into an absolute shit show so far so I don't its fair to judge him.
We know what he's capable of from his time at Swansea.
No reason he can't do it here if we get act together and provide him with service.

Needs to gain some fitness clearly and importantly needs a goal to gain confidence just like the team.

Desperate for a goal. Defenders reading his game and nicking the ball off him. Isolated somewhat. Should of scored 3 last night.
My opinion - we should of tried harder for Berahino.

Unfit, out of confidence, desperately needs games and goals!
Obvs a striker in there, but the couple of half chances he had when he didnt shoot and tried to tee up the perfect chance summed it up.
Thought the same of Sobhi, was great, but when he had the chance to shoot he looked for a pass, guess thats just inexperience and not wanting to get bollocked.

Clearly he is "ring rusty " which will clear in time but I'm not sure that LMH will play a system that utilises his strengths!

I thought he played very well last night.
And how he held the ball up was calling for Bojan to run off him, I really do think it's a partnership made in heaven. He linked beautifully with Arnie and Sobhi who held the ball up really well too and they seemed to all have an understanding. We just need to get runners past him when he does hold it up.

He needs to start up top alongside Diouf Saturday 442 This. Why the hell can't we go to a 4-4-2? its almost deemed unfashionable nowadays, its what we're crying out for especially if XS is back, this 4-5-1 isn't working for us and for me is and has been the factor in our lack of goals under Hughes.

I thought the same as well. He's shown he can hold the ball up and bring others into play so we need Bojan to be buzzing in and around him. So far the supporting players haven't done this and Bojan seems to like dropping deep to pick up the ball but I think he needs to be instructed to stay in the 'hole'. As soon as Bony gets a goal he'll be up and running.

Clearly not match fit but I'm underwhelmed so far.By the time he's up to speed the manager who signed him may be gone.We needed someone to come in and hit the ground running. Think I'd prefer Diouf's pace against WBA's backline on Saturday.

What happened to the Bony who played for Swansea? We should have loaned him.

he seems decent at holding the ball up, and we know he can score from his Swansea days. However, I have said all along that that I do not think a big static centre forward will suit our style of play, and it seems to be the case. But as mentioned before, its difficult to judge him in light of our current wankness.

I think setting up either with Boj behind him in a 4231 or Diouf next to him in a 442 gives us some tactical flexibility without making us weaker.
Either scenario requires our midfield two (Imbula and Allen) to have a bit more discipline, however.

He needs to start up top alongside Diouf Saturday 442 Exactly right that should have been the formation last night this one up front isn't working we need goals and pressure on the opposition defence but you know Hughes he's not prone to change by the look of it

Looks rusty which is to be expected. But a couple more games and a goal or 2 under his belt and I think he'll be fine.
His hold up play and touch is generally good, brings others into play very well and got in a couple of good positions in the box last night.

He needs to start up top alongside Diouf Saturday 442 I'd love to see a 442 Wezza but just can't see it happening. When I think about it though is a change of formation what the lads need? Last night was a night for Bojan, Hughes missed an opportunity to get some game time for the team that starts Saturday. We lacked creativity through the middle and Bony was isolated and if Hughes can't see that, like he didn't on Sunday, then it worries me.

He looks a way from fitness so it's hard to judge.
One pleasant surprise has been that he looks to drop his shoulder and go past players to make chances for himself.
Christ knows he's going to have to.
