guess the op is a prem league new boy. but by his thread title alone he deserves to be banned from the oatcake for life.same as all the tossers who back us to lose SACRILIDGE. Not even a new boy - armchair supporter, well not even that, I actually don't even know where Stoke is ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/0m0lbCuTEBzaRn6f8QaM.gif) Seriously though if you're going to comment read all the posts, at least those of who you're disagreeing with. If you did you'll see I've already admitted that the title is clickbait, my real point is that even the defeat it self can be seen as a positive; I understand some people saying it would have been good for lifting the team (though by how much? ) but no matter what happens this wkend and whoever is the manager for the rest of the season, it's going to be hard work, as things don't suddenly go right after a couple of wins and we will be short in defence until at least January - cups are a distraction that we can't afford at the moment. If you can't see that then look at the available info, teams who play in the cup midweek generally do less well the following wkend. There was an expert who'd written books about it, on the radio (possible SSN as well) when we were in Europe.

Playing for 17th, god how depressing this season is panning out and it's only September ![(question)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/XXiVCR8ugEQgztLfqFjy.gif)

Gutted we lost but it might be a blessing to not play the extra games.
