Just watching an old episode of "Who's doing the dishes" sadly ITV Choice is just about the only Brit Channel I get here, and our very own Nick Hancock is the mystery guest...Nice house in Shropshire I think... What's he up to these days, is he still on the telly, is he still a regular at Stoke... Last time I saw him was years ago, pre Prem days, away at Wigan on a wet Wednesday night...

Always wonder what people like him do to get by. He was fairly household in the 90's but has he really done much since? He's barely even a celebrity any more. Last time I saw him he was on some wank football funnies compilation thing on Sky.

If he is appearing on that Dishes show then things can't be exactly booming!! He's the first person they have visited that I have even heard of.

Same ere DG, dare say he won't be getting much in the way of royalties for repeats, and I doubt he was one of the rights owners of his shows, unlike Tarrant for example, who, along with Jasper Carrot, made, and is still making, a fortune from Millionaire, same with Noel Edmunds on the open the box thing. I guess sports shows, and especially football biased shows are a fairly limited audience, and probably would not sell much abroad. Dare say he trousered a few quid, and probably does the after dinner speech thing, and is probably very comfortable in his retirement...

At one point "They think it's all over" looked like usurping the more traditional "A question of sport" but in the end Auntie Sue Barker managed to see it off.
Just looked it up, I forgot Lee Mack took over from Nick in 2003 but I think it was on its death throes by then and it passed away in 2005.

He attends every game in the Q Railings upper tier (block 8)
He's still doing a fair bit of TV and radio work even if it's not mainstream. He was on a 'living as a homeless person' documentary last year (can't think of the name now)
I think I read he had other business interests outside of media work as well.
He also made a fair bit back on Sir Stan's cup medal a few years ago, bought for £20k and sold for x10 that amount so he can't be short of cash.

Didn't he become an estate agent or solicitor or something daft like that? He was enjoying being out of the limelight it said in an interview a few years back.

Seen him in the Green Man pub down Wembley for the semi final against Bolton. He was carrying a massive tray full of pints. I asked him how we'd get on and he said we'd fucking stuff them. What a guy.

I think he had to sell stans medal as work had dried up and school fees needed paying?

He was in the hotel room opposite mine in Valencia but I didn't speak to him. I'd imagine he just wanted to do his own thing and I didn't want to interrupt that.
He lives in in/near Woore.

Speaking of the cup run, he was in the next block to me trying to gee everyone up when all around were just sitting in stunned silence as Man City cut through us again and again.
Fair play to him.
