How has he escaped a thread from today?
The second goal was Hauagaardesqe and I'd like to see the third again:
His kicking is awful and he was just bloody dreadful today.

8 shots on target today and 4 goals suggests his lack of height and speed ( both in anticipation and footwork ) is a dangerous combo. also clear that Butland bailed out that defence in the first 10 games last year as well.

He has now conceded 603 premier league goals and joined an exclusive club of 4 (James,Jaaskerlianen and Swartzer are the others), who have conceded more than 600. With current performances, won't be long before he reaches a very exclusive club of one, on over 700.

Was fantastic in his day, but clearly past it now
We were well in the game until that second goal. In fact, we were arguably the better side until that point.
We should give this new guy a run out or else it was pointless signing him

He's just wank. As highlighted last season and already this season. The ball just goes through him. Was once a decent keeper now he's a has been

Our manager thought it would be a good idea to buy a goalkeeper that Derby dropped because he went from pretty good to total lack of confidence as our back up whilst crossing his fingers that JB may be back in 6 to 10 weeks Same as lack as fullbacks in the transfer window = pathetic

As an understudy for a couple of games a season, no problem.
To be in a situation where a 40 year old goalkeeper is our first choice is a bit of a head scratcher to say the least.

Its no coincidence that we have struggled without Butland. Given is past it, his reflexes and agility are long gone and Haugaard is no-where near the quality we need. The fact that we didn't invest in a decent back-up keeper is the gift that just keeps on giving - to the opposition.

Last season showed us 2 things in the keeper department:
Haugaard isn't good enough to be at the club.
Given isn't good enough as number 2 but Iat 40 is fine for a 3rd choice slot.
So at the start of pre season, when Butlands comeback was looking hunky dory, we should have been in for a decent number 2. It was an essential addition. A couple of months later at the end of the transfer window, we knew Butland was going to be out for another couple of months and that's on the basis he doesn't have any further setbacks. At this point it should have been an emergency to get someone in. Instead we bring in Lee Grant as 3rd choice. If Butland has any complications, we could be faced with at least half a season as Shay Given and Lee Grant as our keepers. Those pair wouldn't be good enough for a championship side. It's criminal that we are now in this position.

I said a couple of weeks ago a decent no.2 keeper was the most important signing we needed to make, I was shouted down that Given was more than good enough. Not often I'm right I just like to point it out when I am!!!

2nd was a decent finish.
All of them involved a player shooting under no pressure which is the issue for me. 1st and 3rd were close to him, might have done better in his prime but defensively we gave them free shots on goal - that needs to be addressed first and foremost.

Its a pretty shit situation that we have relied on the likes of Haugaard and a 40 year old semi retired GK this last few months. No wonder we have been getting thrashed out of sight
shambolic

I would suggest he was seriously unprotected today by a shambolic defence lead by a very under par Shawcross. Given made several saves when our defenders stood and watched. Ryan needs to up his game

A balls -up by the medical staff, not seeing the severity of Butland's ankle. Sparky had plenty of time to sign a decent goalie. No faith in any of our 3. Today Given was too short, too old and gives no confidence to back 4.

Today Given was too short, too old and gives no confidence to back 4. How is it a balls up by the medical staff? I'm sorry, but this continual criticism is absolute bollocks. As far as we were all concerned, Jack was ready to start the season at Middlesbrough. He'd gone through his rehab over the summer and played in several pre-season friendlies. Instead of this continual criticism, perhaps you could give us your expert opinion on why our medical team didn't pick up on this injury?

Controls the ball like I control my drinking...not very well
Poor for the 2nd and 3rd goal.
He's not a starter, sound for back up playing cup games etc but we desperately need Jack back and fit.
