Just watching the opening ceromony & the Fire Service Personnel are raising the national flag, rather then the military or police, due to the nations unease with state forceXx

That 400m swimming was mad. We got the Gold, but the Chinese guy only had one arm & when you consider you get most traction from your arms...

Ellie Simmonds used to live pretty close to me. Told my mates kids that she lives in the letter box painted gold round the corner from my digs. They believed me. Don't think they do now.

This high jumping is unbelievable ! There is some truly humbling and edifying stuff to behold:blind sprinters, cyclists with artificial legs etc.Genuinely incredible performances, shame ther're not more people at the venues to watch the events.

Just watched Kadeena Cox win a gold in cycling tonight, she won a bronze for running yesterday ffs.
She is entering lots of events because she has MS and she doesn't know how her health will be in four years.
I'm just an ageing couch potato but watch some of these performances with a lump in my throat

Ellie Robinson, 15 years old, swimming GOLD medal Did you see the guys with no arms swimming. When that reach the end, they just crash their head into the side of the pool. HTF do they do that & not get concussed!?!
