Blues Brothers 2000 has to be one of the biggest film travesties ever! And honourable mention (well honourable mention in these terms! ) for Caddyshack 2.

Wasn't overly impressed with Conan The Destroyer
Too lighthearted when compared to the original, more serious movie
The Dead Pool was a pretty poor way to end Dirty Harry series. The chase with the model car is ridiculous.
Wasn't much for Evil Dead 3; a million miles from the horror & grime of the first

Independence Day 2 was all over the shop, not a patch on the original (which is a bit of a guilty pleasure). Die Hard 3 is my favourite - I love the first, think the 2nd is okay but I can't keep going back to them like I can with 3. Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson, one of the great reluctant double acts. To add my own, it's more of a prequel but The Hobbit trilogy is an absolute travesty compared to the LOTR films. The CGI was atrocious, jarringly so, it's hard to stay in the story when it looks like the film is drifting in and out of Shrek 5. The Orc thingies in LOTR absolutely shit on those in The Hobbit: The story was stretched beyond its limits too. One 3 hour film would have done it. The greedy bastards fucked it.

I would agree on The Hobbits. Have all 3 Blurays siting on a shelf but just cant bring myself to put them on
Shame as I loved LOTR. The old rule stands, if you can do it practically or in camera then do so! That's the big difference between carpenters The Thing and the 2011 prequel (which to be fair is a reasonably ok film)
Im still mixed about The Force Awakens but they got the balance right on that one

Totally agree about LOTR and the hobbit although the hobbit was more fantasy hence the extended CGI. I just hope when they make the Similiarion they follow the LOTR model .

Don't hold your breath on the Silmarillion
The Tolkien Estate is playing hardball on any further movies. If it ever does get made, PJ has said it wont be him to do it, he says he's done with it now. Its fair to say despite making money, that the Hobbits haven't received even a 1/4 of the acclaim of the LOTR movies
