Kind of the polar opposite of "Diouf scored tonight!" then, unless he got a shag after the match

Thanks for the video.
Am I the only one who thinks the standard of play, particularly defending, was abysmal?

I've been watching Stoke since 1977 so have seen the good and bad in terms of footballing ability.Diouf for me,falls into the latter.I acknowledge the support he gets from a great number on this board, but for me I wonder if their eyes are painted on.For me his attributes as a centre forward fall short in every department.I for one cannot wait to see Bony leading our front line, which I believe will contribute to a massive upturn in our fortunes on the pitch

Sorry about the misleading headline at the top of this thread chaps. It made perfect sense in the light of the story on the link on my post. Let's hope that whoever wrote the story on my link learns the lesson of checking his facts before publishing - a bit like me, really!

There's no lack of effort and Im happy to see him as a valued squad member and to come off the bench. He has pace & power and aerial threat but like many modern day strikers he just doesn't have the finesse or composure needed. He's not great on a one & one for example. He will always get headers but that's hampered by us not using the wingers correctly to put those balls in in the first place.
Bony will be a good partner if they play together.
If he was really as good as people wanted, then he wouldn't probably even be here. Its not like we're ever going to sign a Sergio Aguero, is it??

Yet in the one season when he was 1st choice striker for us, he scored 11 goals and we finished slightly higher than top ten. Funny old world

This was also a season where he had injuries and was at the AFCON. Also the season of that goal at Etihad, what a mental that was!!
