Clever mix of Star Wars scifi with LOTR style fantasy
Real remake potential for me

And how did this masterpiece never get a sequel?? Great film! I read years ago a sequel was planned. "The Secret of the Dark Crystal" I think it was called. Perhaps a Wikipedia/IMDb search can reveal more.

Looked online, apparently there are planned sequels to Labyrinth/Dark Crystal/Hawk The Slayer
Also a reboot of Krull is planned by Edgar Wright
I would be surprised if at least one doesn't come off
And a reboot of this is in the pipeline Really daft but hugely enjoyable - and the fx, sets & costumes still hold up 30 years later

Alays loved this one, really colourful and the fx are kind of crap but interesting at the same time The idea of the villain keeping his heart separate in a tower guarded by monsters was a masterstroke
And the other Harryhauen Sinbad movie

Hilariously bad but again, entertaining
