And, if so, did any of the young lads look comfortable coming up against senior pros and did anyone stand out?

Yes, Charlie Adam stood out!! Had some great (and not so great) shots, which is what we miss in the starting eleven.I'm aways a fan of having a shot or a cross for somebody to head the bloody thing (not happening much though!). This hopefully will improve with todays signings. This also though, will limit the chances for some of the young un's last night. Wasn't too impressed but first half could have won it if not for excellent (reserve) Bradford keeper. We should have gone for him on loan! Verlinden looked good at times and good forward play in first was impressive.

If you've got youth problems I feel bad for you son. We had 99 supporters, but I ain't one.

thought a few got stagefright on their big day isted did ok needs to hold the ball better muniesa got 90 mins under his belt adam best player on the pitch deserved to have scored from one of those shots verlinden looked the best of the kids especially when pushed forward in the second half the rest looked well short of the mark a lot of sidewards passing no real threat up front and we looked suspect to the through ball one resulted in the sending off surprised we only made the one change, 2 more games for them to shine
