Braveheart and The Patriot put me off Gibson for life, with its anglophobic bullshit and complete twisting of history to suit some kind of sentimentalised agenda that suited the Celtic fringe and a simplified idiots version of how America became American. He can shove it as far as I am concerned, and won't get a penny from me.

'Get the Gringo', or ' How I spent my summer vacation' (it's UK title) is brilliant post Gibson meltdown fare.

I'm pretty desperate to avoid Mel Gibson films at all costs.

To be fair, despite his off-the-set antics he doesn't make bad movies in general, in my opinion of course.

Add We were soul-searching to the category also.
