Good for them isn't it? I would be very chuffed if it was my club West Ham: Increasing to 54k, modern stadium, nice facilities, good public transport infrastructure, etc Stoke: We show a video of some grass growing and decide to increase capacity by 3k, 3 years too late. At which time we'll likely need to plan for another increase. Obviously a new stadiums not a consideration for us and WHU struck a fantastic deal, but still, the lack of development at the Brit/bet365 or surrounding site is irritating. As another poster once said,...We're a Premier League club with a Championship stadium. Quite agree mate . West Ham have done very well out of this . As much as I liked Upton Park this will transform them into a top 6 club with the right management . Stokes growth will be slower obviously but the club should be a bit bolder in future

However the deal came about you can't blame West Ham for screwing the best deal out of it they possibly could. Be that by connections or a really poor public negotiating team. I'd expect nothing different from Stoke City given the same opportunities, all this carping is simply jealousy. Anyone with the intelligence to realise this is probably some form of back scratching exercise ought to have the intelligence to realise that if and when something does come out it will be some nobody who cops the blame for it whilst the people with any real power are shielded. Its done live with it. Doesn't make it right. Bill Gates is worth $xxxbillion, my net worth is probably >0.0001% of what he's worth. He's smarter than me, better educated and harder working but is he really worth me that many times over? I don't think so, its not right. Would it do me any good to keep carping on about it? Or would I be better served taking a walk around the town and seeing some of the people around and be happy that I'm tens/hundreds of times better off than them? Am I worth it? Of course not, I'm just playing the hand life dealt me. Putting the world to right is worthy of hours of discussion but in an industry of multimillion £ players earning hundreds of thousands per week, why start with a poxy stadium deal. As an industry football is completely detached from reality and rotten to the core.
