whilst watching a match on the television one often sees members of the ethnic minority watching Premier league match's be it Indians with turbans on, Blackys, japs, chinkeys and other Asians. I never see any at Stoke whilst I am walking around the ground to get to ones box or indeed whilst one is sitting inside or out side ones box.
Should more be done to encourage these people to attend with free tickets or some sort of multicultural entertainment on the pitch at half time. Should we be selling curry instead of pies? Indeed should we stop the sale of alcohol to encourage members of the Muslim community to come an support us?

If you're a true aristocratic, rather than an aspiring one, either can be put it down to inbreeding.

In what way have I been offensive old boy? Your choice of words, but if you need it spelling out, you really are stupid.

My local Pakistani shopkeeper calls me a fat bastard...Not a problem ..I am.
I thought it was one of Effi's better offerings..It's not offensive in the slightest.

I for one would love a chicken tikka, pilau rice and vindaloo sauce washed down with a cobra, at half time if they would extend half time for another 15 / 20 mins i'd vote for it. So in answer to your question M'lud, encourage them, chefs an all !! but just remember they won't come in their droves unless we get to the premiership, no corners and all that ;D

Judging by the attitude of those who voted 'Would not attend again' its hardly surprising Stoke don't attract 'Indians with turbans on, Blackys, japs, chinkeys and other Asians'.
The more fans the better if you ask me.

There are a few ethnic minorities at games but they don't reflect the ethnic mix of the area

Don't they sell Balti pies at The Britannia? gd one made me smile. I personally think if they want to come they will i dont care whos filling the Brit, but i dont think the club should try and get them in and overlook the fans that do already.

I can never tell when his Lordship's being half serious but I think some SUBTLE, non-patronising attempts to make a few people feel more welcome at the Brit would be a great idea. We're somewhere along the road to being a multicultural city, thank God, and we're definitely a multicultural team so it only makes sense. There's not too much of a BNP city cloud hanging over our fans these days, but there still is a bit I think and it would be good to blow the last of it away.

Daftest idea i've heard in my entire life. "Multi-culturalism" is hardly a necessity! The brit is for Stoke FANS! If they are fans, they are more than welcome (obviously), but for the club to go out of their way to get them to come and watch just because of their skin colour/religion is ludicrous! Some people.

I would tend to agree. This countrys sense of humour and nationalist pride has become hijacked I'm afraid by people threatening the latest politically correct stance.
If you don't see ethnic minorities at football games ,then it is because they don't want to.They probably don't want to integrate either.

The only problem with your above post Mumf is.......
I know an 'Indian with a turban' He was born in Stoke, went to Trent Valley High, he has supported Stoke for years but now doesn't go to the games because of the abuse he has received from some of our fans. He is a Stokie, he is red and white, so he should be encoraged to watch Stoke. A little bit of marketing in places like Shelton would only be good for the club. Everyone who wants to support Stoke should be made to feel welcome.

If it is politically correct to find words such as "Blackys, japs, chinkeys" offensive, then I'm proud to be politically correct, and proud to be a do-gooder, even if it is unpopular.

rebelliousjukebox....I pleased that you at least are able to make the choice of political and religous freedom.
We're good like that over here..Arranged marriages are frowned upon, homosexuals are not killed....It's a free country you see.You can speak your mind and if you find words like those you mention offensive then you can openly say so.
P.S...I'd avoid the front line in Helmand province tho'....I've heard the language can be quite rude at times......OOOOOooo errrrrr.!
