Sobhi sounds excellent value at £6m - certainly a prospect that is likely to increase in value if anything - but still raw and unproven and may take a while to adapt
Allen - at £13m possibly a snip - experienced at this level and is just what we need - but unlikely to increase in value but will slot straight in
Arny - a bargain at £3m when we bought him - £80K a week 4 year deal (£16m wages) but he's an entertainer and game changer and what you pay your money to see
It's a hard one to call. I'd go for Arny just, but absolutely fab business so far. Well done Stoke City. Just a striker and CAM now and Europe here we come.

Allen Arnie Sobhi
Allen just edges it for me. Arnie is a huge huge boost, not just to the fans but to the players too. You can see just how much it means to them on their social media pages, almost all of them have tributes to him. I just think Allen is the type of player we've needed in the middle for so long. I think us having Allen will not only bring the best out of him(him getting regular playing time) but it'll also bring the best out of Imbula and in turn the whole team as an attacking force. Sobhi is a promising signing, but none of us really know which way it's going to go. Hopefully we've signed a gem and in 2/3 years we look back and he's eclipsed them all.
All in all they're all fantastic pieces of business, just a striker and a solid defender needed for a perfect window IMO.

They're all corkers but for me
Arni - talisman and we know what he can do.
Allen - what we've needed could make us tick and knows the PL.
Sobhi - reputation says he could be very very special but we don't know yet.

Allen, just twice the price of an unproven Egyptian winger Arnie, held to ransom all summer, got left with Everton, we are probably overpaying him. Sobhi, could be anything, hopefully he's close to what people think he could be

Keeping Arni is a major milestone in Stoke's progress. We are now able to keep our player of the season and see off the likes of Everton.
The other two appear to be bargain buys but they still have to perform in red and white. Allen could upset some fans with too much sideways passing and revert to what N'Zonzi did slowing the game. Sobhi is going to find the Prem a huge step up.

How can anyone here not be saying Arnie right now?!
To put it in perspective imagine if we had signed a winger who scored 12 Premier League goals and got 6 assists in a season? How much would we be paying? Well we just fucking did that didn't we.

I'm excited by all three for different reasons but if I had to pick one Allen for me just because I cant wait to see what he can do for us.

I think Allen will be super consistent for us - a Steady Eddy - whereas Arnie blows you away or throws a wobbler.

Sobhi for me
We've seen Leicester Southampton and West Ham pull rabbits out of the hat in previous seasons with unknown overseas players. I've got a feeling we might finally hit the jackpot and he'll be a star of the Prem next season.

Arnie, by a considerable margin, then Allen by a considerable margin, and then Sobhi.
In 4 years maybe Sobhi will develop into the best of the three, but I doubt it. And Allen will have to prove himself at a new club, plus he is not going to bring the attacking threat Arnie brings to every game.Arnie was our best player last season and losing him would have set us back in ways that signing Allen and Sobhi couldn't have remedied.

Tricky one because of Sobhi being the unknown quantity. Allen Arnie Sobhi. Few games in it could all change. Quite a prospect though. I for one am looking forward to seeing how things develop. My glass is definitely better than half full.

For me, getting Arnie to sign was a massive coup and I was honest in the Marko Arnautovic thread in that I really felt he was going to leave this time. The fact he has committed for four years (undoubtedly with some buyout clauses etc) says a lot about the ambition of our club and we should be proud as fuck about it. For me, Arnie's signature really does feel like a new signing in itself.
Arnie Allen Sobhi...... but could this boy be the key to an even better Arnie?
