That reputation arose from TP's days when we were very physical and teams had to really be prepared for a hard physical battle. Also Delap's throw ins added to this and our home record really kept us in the premiership as away from home we were shit.We are a different outfit now, teams come to Stoke knowing they will have opportunities on the counter attack rather than having more possession. We are a far better team now away from home and our points tally proves that.

It is generally tough for a lot of the big clubs. Not so tough for the also rans.

Not unless we buy some players who are going to put a spine in the team.

When we first moved to the brit, I mean bet, we were dreadful. Every team came and took the piss and took the points. Teams like Cambridge, Bristol rovers and the like. The boskamp era was the worst. We'd win handsomely at home one week then get battered at the next home game.
Then we settled down and made it a fortress with TP. Nowadays it feels like the early years again. It's been a long time since I've had no confidence in our home form.

I haven't managed to get to Stoke away yet nor West Brom away, hopefully I will go to both/either next season possibly. They're two stadiums I've wanted to go to, but just haven't managed to as of yet. Of course, like many of you yourselves, I'm willing to travel to watch my team but it's also nice to have some Midlands clubs in the Premier League still . I've always wanted to go to Stoke & West Brom away because not only are both clubs in the Midlands, but I actually like both grounds too as well as the away ends. For a while I've regarded Stoke to have a good home crowd, as has the Media, but I hear it's not like that now so much? Out of interest, what do you guys make of Leicester's home support & stadium? I personally think the Bet365 will look tidy once the supposed corners are filled in. The advantage of your ground now though, is I suppose because the corners are empty, it allows the noise from inside the stadium to travel outwards. But on the other hand like the King Power Stadium, it's a bowl shape design so the noise is usually kept within, again which can create an atmosphere in itself.

At this minute i would liken our crowd to a cheap thai whore. As in usually accommodating your not quite sure what you will get when you leave and of its not going our way has the potential turn bitchy or nasty

Depends if they get the Traffic Management Staff replaced, or if you're on about on the pitch, no not all. We've lost that under Hughes I'm afraid. Far, far to weak and predictable.

We are now a mid table PL club. Certain games we turn up for but if we under estimate opponents then we get turned over. The player mentality has changed recently in our PL time. This is frustrating, when you travel a long distance and what to see your team put in the effort you have to watch them, but wins against the big teams help make up for it .

When we got promoted, we were looking up at clubs such as Stoke, West Brom, Swansea, Everton and Southampton as shining examples of how to become an established Premier League team. I think Leicester's goal upon returning to the top flight, was to become an established Premier League team just like the clubs I've mentioned. Well, in two years of PL football, we've had the great escape and the title win. Hopefully we can contiune to progress, and of course also importantly, establish ourselves in this great league.
I think personally Stoke are a great example for future promoted clubs, an inspiration if you like.

How many home games did we lose last season ? Maybe when it was a bear pit and we did have an up and at em style at times Certainly not now just a typical mid table team , which of course is a big achievement It really needs to improve this time if we are not going too dip I would love to see the Boothen as a safe standing end that would make a difference to the crowd And higher intensity in our play at home would help the results

Still 7 defeats at home is shite.

What do people mean a tough place to go if it's about winning football matches no different than half the prem,if you mean a atmosphere that the away team and fans find intimidating then no.We all got behind the team in the early prem days because everyone else was against us so it was back too the wall attitude. Now as a club we feel comfortable in the league and we have been excepted by most. The only time we seem to go into we are Stoke mode is if there has been a bad decision or a player sent off.If we needed 3 points to finish 9th or 3 points to stay in the league with the same oppersition same performances which would have the greater atmosphere.I remember when we beat Wolves 4-0 to stay up the crowd was great but had been shit all season. We seem to like been the underdog we have not yet got the hang of just been a mid table team.

I think it will be. All we need are 5 new defenders a couple of centre mids and striker and we wont be far off a fortress again.
