Wilson could play in midfield but my best guess is
Butland
Muniesa Wolly Wilson
Pieters Johnson (wing backs)
Adam Lecygne Imbula
Bojan Joselu

Hopefully we're just resting Shawcross.
Wonder where Crouch is

'minor' back problem for Ryan and should be back training within a few days.. hopefully that's all it is.

Seems like we're playing 3-5-2?

Starting with 3 at the back with wing backs.. just like I called it maybe Sparky was impressed with Wales and Italy in the Euro's?

Bowen just also said they've been impressed with Lecygne so maybe he could be staying with the first team next season? a decent loan move in the offing at least you would hope.

Could have done without another Shawcross scare this early in pre-season
And Lecygne inclusion shows how stretched we are for defensive-ish midfielders
Crouch and Shawcross have slight back strains. Both should be back in training in the middle of next weeks
"Nothing to do with Ryan's old injury and could be back against Preston" claims Mark Bowen.
"Starting with 3 at the back, looking to be more flexible"
"Lecygne has impressed us, a ferret in the midfield, keeps it tidy"
"Sobhi is 99.9% done" "He's very keen to get going with us and he'll be a major part of our future"
"Prices seem to have doubled in the last 6 months and it's a complicated summer - but it won't stop us bringing in the right players"

It can't possibly be unconnected can it? It has to be as a result of weakness of an area caused by previous injuries.

That is a pretty serious worry if you ask me. "awkward fall in training".. the problem is, it sounds like he could get injured at any time :/ Defenders fall or land awkwardly most games. It suggests he's still a bit fragile which has to be a serious cause for concern. He's our best and most important player and we need him fit and free of injury concerns

Ill be controversial and say we need to bring in a young replacement now.

Maybe not a direct replacement for Ryan but we need to sign a top class CB whatever happens, Ideally to play with Ryan.

I don't know how many different parts of the back there are, but we've had 12 months of 'unconnected' back injuries

When you have good attacking options going forward, and the type of flair players we have, you have to have a strong solid base to allow them the confidence to go forward in the knowledge that if the move breaks down there's a defence behind that's like a brick wall.
We're a few bricks missing at the moment for me.

A bit late to be wise now? Plus, every club knows we have to have more home grown player's too!
