From what I hear, De Girona are shitbags.
But he's just saying they'll bring different tactics to the league.

“But it is also true that it is a bit difficult to go. Why leave behind the good weather, good food and friends."
No doubt. Summer in Barcelona, or a winter in Stoke?

I love the tactical goal fest France and Portugal are serving up. Bloody tactics. Passion, effort, commitment.

Hope it's lost in translation. I'd guess he meant football in Italy, Spain etc is more tactical as it's slower. Also I hate it when people say quantum leap. They do know it means smallest leap forward possible?

I hate it when people say quantum leap. They do know it means smallest leap forward possible? Jesus, we have some proper geniuses on here: "a huge, often sudden, increase or change in something".

Quantum means the smallest possible quantity of something. We know what people mean when they say it but it doesn't change the fact a "quantum leap" means the smallest possible leap you can make.

It reads to me as though he's saying "there's no tactics in England like the ones in Spain", which he's absolutely spot on.
nothing clickbait article. Move on.

I'll take excitement over tactics anyday. There is a reason why the Premier League is more popular around the world than the tactically superior La liga. That reason is excitement. No other league around the world can match it for pure excitement. There is barely a weekend that goes by in England when some big club doesnt get beaten by someone down the bottom end of the table. That doesn't happen in places like Spain. So you can shove your tactics where the sun don't shine.

Muni has trouble with basic positioning and tactics as a defender, so that's a bit rich coming from him! As others have said, no doubt lost in translation, but far better to keep his head down, his hamstrings in full working order and learn how to defend from Ryan.

Jesus, we have some proper geniuses on here: "a huge, often sudden, increase or change in something". Quantum means the smallest possible quantity of something. We know what people mean when they say it but it doesn't change the fact a "quantum leap" means the smallest possible leap you can make. A quantum is a fixed value of something. In quantum mechanics it alludes to the experimental observation that sub atomic particles can only exist in particular states - they can exhibit properties defined by a particular set of values or quanta. The particle can "leap" between quantum states - so if we're talking about the change at the sub atomic level it is both small in the sense of "size" of the quantum value when measured in terms of values at the human scale and large in the sense that for the particle it represents a complete transformation of its state - in a sense it becomes something quite different to what it used to be. As you can only change states in accordance to particular values you can't make a change by a smaller value - you can't sub-divide a quantum value any further. So it is small in the sense you can't make a change by a smaller value but massive in the sense that the thing that has undergone the change is now profoundly different - it is in a different quantum state and is fundamentally different to what it used to be as it is the quantum state that defines what it is. When applied outside of quantum mechanics a "quantum leap" is usually intended to imply a major transformation - the change can be quite small and happen quickly but as a result of the event the thing that has undergone the "quantum leap" is now something quite different. I think Muni was using it in this sense - but who knows. He could just be a fan of that crap American series about time travel. I'm now really looking forward to Jon Walter's application of the second law of thermodynamics to beating the offside trap....

The point he is making is that English football doesn't have a generic brand- probably one of the reasons the international team are shite. In Italy the emphasis is on defence which is drilled into every team in that league. Spain is all about keeping the ball- again virtually every team plays similar. In England there is no generic brand of football, from Pulisball to Carpet football.

Muni is absolutely fucking shit. He needs to learn the basics about defending before he starts thinking about tactics. Some of his performances last season still leave me waking up in a cold sweat during the early hours

This is what drives me nuts about the social media age. Everything has to be one extreme or another, whereas in reality most things are shades of grey. In this case, some of our players are better than the others. Some are improving and will be better players in the future and some won't.
