That's good, keep it simple, 7:45 was always a tough time to really get your head around

That 15 minutes is actually pretty helpful particularly for exiles, night games are an absolute nightmare to get to at times

Lucky Luke45 has now got himself a car. 8pm kick offs meant it was always touch and go as to whether we got to Carnforth station in time for his last train back to Dalton. If we didn't, I had to take him and that added an hour on to my return journey - getting me home sometime after 1.30 in the morning. Now I can drop him off at a layby near J36 on the M6 and watch in envy as he drives off in his cool Mercedes 2 litre coupe!

This is actually really helpful. As said above, the extra 15 minutes is more help than people can imagine for people either living or working out of the area. I might actually have time to grab a sandwich before I come out of the house now!

Not getting over-enthused until I've seen whatever new fiendish 'traffic management' plan they will have devised for the new season!!

We park on the south car park and usually make it back to the local around 10.15, this later kick off may scupper post match alcohol.

Can we please now go back to a 3:15 kick off on a Saturday !!!
IMO Changing the kick off to 20:00 will just means people will spend an extra 15 minutes in the pub or will leave home 15 minutes later, it will not make a jot of difference. The club must know the speed of entry through the turnstiles just before kick off , they should do something to encourage attendees to arrive early.

For the last 16 years getting back from Birmingham, having my tea, picking up my passengers and getting to the ground for a 7.45 kick-off has always been a close run thing, especially with train reliability issues, so this would have been great.
However, I am finishing work in August, so for me, it's come about too late.
It does mean that it will be nearly 11 p.m. before the South Car Park clears.

The combined fiasco's of the M6, the roads around the ground and the car parks have meant that I have virtually given up on mid week fixtures. Disappointing state of affairs but I reached 'breaking point' last season.

If they just left people to their own devices it would clear in half the time I agree. How closing roads when people are trying to leave speeds things up is crackers. People just need to learn to use the roads and Highway Code and there wouldn't be an issue. Give away buses 20 mins from full time to load up and leave or they get locked in until everyone else has gone.

Another bonus is that we'll get back to our car on the South Carpark at about 10pm so won't have to moan about only listening to 10 minutes of Radio Stoke's magnificent and supporter friendly midweek coverage - now the programme will be over before we even get to our car

Is there enough unused wall space on the outer walls of each stand to add extra turnstiles? An extra 3 in each stand would make a heluva difference to the speed of entry. Would cost more in wages though.
