It's hardly his fault but he'll look back on his time in the game and wonder what he might have achieved. I remember when he was touted as an England No.1

I remember when he was touted as an England No.1 I mean it's not his fault that Man City wanted to keep him on, but it is his fault for not seeking an actual career and sitting in the reserves for 4 years.

He also did £25k's worth of damage to his rented house as he couldn't be arsed stopping his dog pissing and shitting everywhere or cleaning it up.

If no-one else could match his salary he's like any other player, or working man. Who takes a pay cut, it just doesn't happen?

There have been some players who took a paycut to further their careers but I understand your point. But in a career as short as a football player, perhaps a bit of motivation to create a legacy to look back on would be good.

How could he further his career now? The problem lies with man city not him. Maybe they should of had a young keeper in his place who would benefited from their coaches and training facilities

He also did £25k's worth of damage to his rented house as he couldn't be arsed stopping his dog pissing and shitting everywhere or cleaning it up. Is this true? Surely on £1m a year you could just spend £200 a week for a cleaner to come round.

Relatively similar for us with Simmo when we made it into the promised land..
A back up keeper in top flight football always has this chance and for the majority wright was 3rd choice. Can hardly blame him, was probably the best third choice available 4yrs ago for a prem team

In fairness to him, he played about 400 league games and went to Man City aged 35 ish when he knew his best days were behind him. If they're daft enough to chuck that kind of money at him for training a couple of times a week who's he to turn it down?
With regards to the dogs pissing and shitting and wrecking his house comment, I've not heard that rumour but a colleague of mine used to look after his kids (in fact they even took her to Dubai as a nanny when they were on holiday) and she went to their house many a time and commented on what a fantastic house he lived in at the time

Like many have said he isn't gonna turn it down.
It's the rules regarding English players that have worked in his advantage, that's the whole reason city had him there to meet the quota.
I remember when he played for Ipswich he was fantastic, embed was being linked with all the big clubs, seem to remember injuries hampered him. Is he retiring or going down to lower leagues?

Carlo Nash's career isn't too dissimilar really, he's made only 10 career appearances in the last nine years which were in our promotion season. Over that time he's been signed by Wigan, Norwich and Everton as well.

Sitting in the reserves for 4 years and being paid £4m is my idea of a career. Hew might be interested in other things outside football and this gives him the opportunity to pursue them??? If he's invested it properly he's got alot to look forward to, more than me anyway!!!

How much did Anthony Pulis make from 3 year contracts with different clubs and hardly making an appearance for any of them ?

Yes. I've nothing better to do than make up stuff about reserve players. Right so let's get this straight. You're saying that a multi millionaire was renting a house and he racked up £25,000 worth of damage to that house just by letting his dog have a shit and piss in it? How big was his dog? It would have to knock out some seriously big shits to cause that much damage wouldn't he?

Tevez also rented when he was at both Manchester clubs. Nzonzi rented at Wych Wood Park and left a similar shit tip to the one Wright left in Wilmslow with a similar bill.
