Probably nothing in it, but L'Equipe says we're one of a number of English teams interested in him. Moroccan centre-half, used to play for Fulham apparently. www.lequipe.fr/Football/breves2008/20080507_221607_l-angleterre-suit-ouaddou_Dev.html07/05/2008 22:16 Soccer - Transfers - England follows Ouaddou
The good season of Abdeslam Ouaddou with Valenciennes does not leave English clubs insensitive. The Moroccan international(29 years), that already played for Fulham (2001-2003), is followed by several teams across the channel.
Newcastle United, where Kevin Keegan has access to a big envelope to recruit, in left fact, but the more serious tracks take to Middlesbrough as well as to West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City, these two last ones having just to rediscover their place in the Premier League.
English scouts were present last Saturday to the Abbot Deschamps stadium to attend the encounter between Auxerre and Valenciennes. In France, Nancy could equally enter into the dance.

This may tie in with Pulis saying he was looking at some players based in France, so might be something in it.

Ouaddou was involved in France's biggest racist incident of the year, fan abuse I think, so would likley be looking to quit his club.

Also on Sky Sports
Moroccan defender Abdeslam Ouaddou is being linked with a return to the Premier League.
The 29-year-old spent a two-year spell with Fulham from 2001 before he joined Rennes.
After impressive time at Rennes he was snapped up by Olympiakos but he did not settle in Greece and was allowed to move back to France in January 2007 to sign for Valenciennes.
Now after an impressive campaign with Valenciennes a number of clubs are tracking him.
French reports now claim that Middlesbrough, Newcastle, West Brom and Stoke are all tracking him.
However, Nancy - the club he began his career with - are also tracking him and they could have the extra lure of Champions League football next term.
