In all honesty, when you consider how that Russian combat team conducted itself on Sat, it just doesn't make sense that they were only civilian hooligans. The worlds journalists will be all over that, cause they've seen how hooligans operate & that aint it. Given the WC18 is there, it's only a matter of time till the truth will out...

We've all heard of how tough Russian Gangsters can be, but why would they risk their freedom p!$$!ng around with English hooligans. We all heard the over played line of: England V Russia in Marseille, What could possibly go wrong, but you were not expecting that. It was almost choreographed

Please put my thread back on the main page, where I posted it, because I believe it's relevant or I would not have placed it there...

To which he replied yes perfectly safe. The ultras will be ordered to stay away.

They've been preparing for this for months. Again, we'd been told about these types of organised, military-style firms for years. I still don't know what you're getting at. What is it that you think is actually going on?

Various foreign hooligans have been promising to 'do the English' going as far back as the Dutch in 88, others also but because nobody actually did anything when the Russians said the same over the last few months people just dismissed it as hot air , this time it wasn't!
Simple as that really

So when you called the Russians "military style", what are you getting at there You can engage in military style training without being in the military? Are you suggesting Putin's sent his lads in? For what purpose?

For what purpose? When Putin rides horses bare chested, engages in staged bouts of judo, invades sovereign nations, in fact most of what Putin does, follows some sort of populist agenda

I don't see why it's so hard to believe that it was a bunch of Russian thugs who'd been planning this for months. Is that just too boring?

You may well be right, but I would be surprised if journalists don't go into this in more detail. I don't habitually go looking at half dressed men fighting in the woods on the interweb, but I have seen that papers have pointed to various groups in Russia who do this sort of thing, however, have any of those dishing out the dirt on Sat been specifically identified with any of those on the net

Well there it is. The journo's already smell a rat, although it's interesting that they say there isn't the political will for the Gov to ask any Q's, what with the delicate situation in Syria. I see that Admin have relegated the thread to the 2nd tier, after I got it reinstated on appeal. It's like having the decision overturned by the high commission. I blame Europe!
