The first question should be will he fill the pension deficit of £571 million with money from his and his wife's personal £3.2 billion fortune.

A very similar amount to the money he took out of the company. Quite legally of course, so there's nothing wrong.

Sir Philip exemplifies everything that is wrong with capitalism. I am all for free enterprise and rewarding hard work but in some cases enterprise morphs into greed. He may have "done nothing wrong" in a legal sense, but morally his behaviour is outrageous. He has milked B.H.S. dry and salted away the money abroad. The least he should do is pay off the pension deficit with some of the money he has salted away.

I don't know if anyone else feels the same way but these parliamentary committee meetings really are compelling viewing.
It's funny to see some of these high power people squirm under questioning.

I saw a fat arrogant ageing bully at work? Sad we give Knighthoods to people like him? Looks like a prime candidate for a coronary and I won't shed any tears.

I don't know if anyone else feels the same way but these parliamentary committee meetings really are compelling viewing. It's funny to see some of these high power people squirm under questioning. Sometimes funny but often infuriating. They squirm for a couple of hours, then walk out and disappear from public view. Good that they can be held to account to a certain extent, but infuriating that no real punishment comes from them.

I must admit I absolutely love these Commons Select Committee grillings, basically some "big hitter" puffed up with his own self importance is hauled in front of what he considers a bunch of nobodies and gets his balls felt!
You always find yourself wondering how you would shape up discussing your own actions in this unique format!
