Glenn Whelan V2. No thanks, I'd rather have Fer. Fer? He's the biggest Jonah in football. Just tucked in behind Hermann Hreidarsson.

Always make me think he's more of a Ray Wilkins sideways passer than the water carrier who can put his foot in that we need to provide competition for Whelan. He put his foot in constantly yesterday.

I think he'd be excellent just won't happen. He's apparently not in Liverpool's plans so a move to a club like us is not unlikely. Return to Swansea probably most likely though.

Just a shave, haircut and a wash off being a decent signing. I thought the common consensus was that it was the beard and the locks that had made him good Welsh Pirlo these days isn't it? I suspect it would be like Samson if he cut the locks?

I didnt like him at first when he moved to Anfield but agree if we could get him , he would suit MH system very well indeed

£10 million is the asking price, apparently. I think he'd suit us but I reckon he'll go to Swansea.

His stock has really gone up recently hence all the interest. I can see him going to someone like Leicester for no doubt a silly fee.

Never really been that much of a fan before, but since he became a hippy, he played like a man possessed last night.

So Allen replacing Glenn?
People OK with that?

We certainly need competition for Glenn. If he gets injured there isn't a proven alternative. And Glenn is reaching an age where he is going to have to miss games. Allen can also play in theImbula role. He would be an excellent buy.

Not for me if it means Hughes keeps playing Imbula behind the forwards as he did at the end of the season. Probably a longer-term Glenn replacement I would say - not that I'm ushering him out.

Swans almost certainly want him to replace his old pal Leon Britton. If not, I'd love to see him at Stoke.

Just watching him now flowing long black locks, tireless effort - niggly - aggressive - a winner reminds one of a certain Mickey Thomas superb engine - run for ever tackles and hunts the ball all day decent footballer, Im told not really wanted at Liverpool - not deemed good enough Defintely good enough for Stoke City I would say - ( on todays watching) Exactly what we need to sit alongside GI. Good shout.

I think Allen would be a good signing for Stoke or many clubs in the PL. I like him too, to be fair.

Bang average £5 million player before the euros.
Had a decent 5 match run (I believe Dave kitson did 6) and now he's worth £14 million?
Bollocks.
