Obviously a very good manager. Great move for Everton if he does go there.

Mirror were claiming Everton were offering him £6m-a-year, which probably weighed quite heavily in his thinking!

Southampton should be fighting to keep him,not like he is going to a Champions League club.

Hughes to Saints?

Doubt it. Probably get linked with the same names as Everton, so you'd have to fancy De Boer or Pellegrini assuming Unai Emery is well out of reach as he seemed to be for Everton?

How come bet365 don't offer odds on the next Everton manager? If Koeman does go to Everton it will be confirmation that money talks. If he hadn't been offered a huge salary and promised mega bucks to spend there is no way he would have ditched Southamton for Everton based on their playing records in recent seasons.

Southampton in same category as Stoke so not sure what there is to gain for Highes to move. And as they obviously don't pay their managers Top Dollar you have to doubt doubt Pelligrini would be in he frame. De Boer's a possibility. As is Eddie Howe. Tone might fancy it. Chance to cut down on the motorway miles and see a bit more of Deb!!!

I think any top manager would want those conditions LP Yes, but I am making the point that, despite Everton's distinguished history compared to Southampton, their current squads and playing records make Southampton the more attractive club ALL OTHER THINGS BEING EQUAL. Obviously all other things are not equal when it comes to money and that may well be the game changer. But, had Everton not been bailed out recently, Southampton would be seen as the more attractive club to manage - and you would not have said that for many of the post war years. A measure of how far Everton's stock had fallen in recent years until the newly acquired Sugar Daddy.

He could be full of empty promises. right now I think he'd be better off carrying on what he's started at Southampton who like us are a very well run club.

Hope Koeman does leave, Saints are clearly leaving us behind under him so a disastrous appointment to replace him wouldn't go amiss.

I can see why he'd leave.
Soton have probably reached their peak.
Everton should be challenging for the Champions League and if this new owner backs his manager then you'd be daft not to leave Southampton for Everton.
