Will the south London rabble end up fighting each other if they lose?

My favourite image of the day came a couple of minutes before the final whistle, when the TV camera focused on a pissed off-looking Millwall fan rolling up his flag and putting it his bag.

Surely there is a lesson here somewhere?
Barnsley were bottom of the league at Christmas.
Yet some of our lot were wetting their panties and predicting relegation by September because we hadn't won in six games.

The beginning of the turnaround was employing Lee Johnson who steadied and then took them to Wembley in the auto windscreens then he left to take over at Bristol City after they'd won the SF

Millwall have disgusting supporters and will never change! Congratulations to Barnsley! Very disappointing to see the very poor behaviour of a very small minority of Millwall fans today but it was only a small minority and it's no more appropriate to generalise about Millwall fans than it was to generalise about Stoke fans a few years ago

Have we heard yet how much Millwall are doing in the local community and they don't deserve this bad press?

Tell me when there has ever been any incident like this with normal fans and families having to run for safety at a Wembley Final in what should have been a celebratory time. I know you want to stick up for fellow fans but this is totally unacceptable but sadly also totally predictable behaviour for fans of this club. Maybe just like our ID card system a few years ago was meant to identify the good guys you should be campaigning for Millwall to have one now. Then all their decent fans can support their team without having to share their lives with the sizeable scum element that support them particularly in big games. BM Edit. Or maybe it's the Barnsley supporters that need sticking up for here and every other clubs fans who play Millwall in a big game. When are the FSF going to start campaigning for actions to protect them?

300 mugshots will be plastered all over the media.
It will result in hundreds of adult males getting convicted for a variety of offences. After numerous prison sentences are handed down, the effect on the South London scrap metal industry will be terrible. Dozens of single mothers will be forced into further poverty by the loss of child support payments, and 3 Bermondsey pubs will have to shut down.
And Millwall's global reputation will continue, which is all that matters to their hardcore.
This was just another NTO/flag day/media show.

When we were at Wembley I remember that website that allowed you to home in on a picture of yourself in the ground. Those pillocks start causing mayhem and will be locked up within 24 hours. Every time there is a camera on them they create, put a big sign in the air saying ' you live in the shadow of WHU, and whatever you do, you always will' . Any half decent firm would have battered them today.

I should have said something like 'some Millwall supporters or a minority etc. My problem is that having lived within 2 miles of the 'Old Den' as a child I had to put up with abuse for many years supporting Stoke. Thus I see the SE4 as a den of pure hatred of other football supporters and the authorities. I hoped they might change but I see little or no evidence of such. Bristol Mick has some very valid points. Cris

They are proud of their reputation and I think the club know they will never stop it .

Not sticking up for anyone here but to say the blame lies entirely at Millwall's door is way off the mark, all that's being shown is the "end game" it had been brewing all day !

"Why always Millwall?"
Not their first "incident" at Wembley is it? Wigan, Swindon Town, ... Barnsley ... It's just what they do on a big day out.

Sorry but that's typical lower league mentality. Us teams in the Premiershit are all lovey dovey and live in a perfect world where defeat is accepted the same as a win. It's a beautiful thing. (sorry staffsvilla, I am a twat for kicking you while you're down, hope you bounce straight back. )

To this day they're still finding WW2 UXB's in Berlin, funny thing is if they're found in Berlin they fund the work themselves (local government), if outside of Berlin the German government pay for it, sure I read that a few months ago when I was there.

When are the FSF going to start campaigning for actions to protect them? I think you are misunderstanding what I'm saying. I am certainly not sticking up for the deplorable behaviour of a very small minority of Millwall fans on Sunday (or on any other occasion). I don't think ID cards are likely to be the answer, but I would probably change my mind on that if the majority of Millwall fans who deplore those actions as much as we do supported them. I only caution against generalisations about "Millwall fans" just as I did about "Stoke fans" when we had a significant problem caused by a small minority with the resultant ID cards, because that doesn't help targeted action against those who cause trouble or working with the majority of Millwall fans.
