Thought I would post this , even though it may be an argument for the status quo. My opinion is , as in the issue of Scottish independence, we cannot predict events and the future so the issue is "in the air " whether we vote Brexit or Remain
My point is: if we vote "Exit" what would be the implications for Spain's and Argentina's claims. The land border with Gibraltar has always been an issue. I can remember queuing for hours in the 70s to make the crossing when Spain were being awkward.
If we left I would imagine that Spain would agitate more , and therefore the Gibraltarians mainly would favour remain. Having said that any agitation can be resisted and following Brexit if we left, the EU would have bigger fish to fry -their own survival. Any thoughts?

For a start, leaving the EU would give us far more latitude in respect to us giving some of the grief back to Spain. At the moment, we seem to be the only EU member state that actually abides by it's laws and regulations, whilst those on the near continent can seemingly ignore anything they don't like and get away with it.
As for the Argie scum, fuck 'em. What are they going to do? Their military is currently in a worse state than it was in '82 when we whipped them back to their poxy third world shithole. Those murdering cock suckers aren't even worth thinking about. They aren't a threat.

Spain, the country that has 2 territories Ceuta and Melilla, (like Gibraltar) on the coast of Morroco, they claim that they are part of Spain whereas Gibraltar is only an overseas territory and not part of the UK, pot calling kettle me thinks. Why would the Argies be involved in anything to do with the EU?

Why would the Argies be involved in anything to do with the EU? I've no idea why I put the Falklands in the thread title???? I think that I was thinking that if we were out Spain would agitate about Gibraltar, expecting EU support and thus could encourage Argentina to do similar in respect of the Falklands
