Does anyone know where I can get number plates done with the Stoke Crest on the left side. I've seen a few cars around with it on and it would be nice to get a set done with a new crest PREMIERSHIP TEAM STOKE CITY ;D

Be careful: And believe me the coppers will do you. Husband got a £30 fine before xmas for "wrong spacing" and was pulled in Manchester a few weeks ago for having the "wrong colour fixing brackets". He was let off that time. Numberplates seem to be the latest way of raising revenue for the xmas party

What a load of bollocks. i have had mine on my number plate for three years on my truck. I do around 1500 miles a week and have never had any trouble off the old bill.
My Mrs got me mine from some place in Stafford. And before i had these plates on this truck I also had them on my older one for two years.
that Piggy woman like all women is talking out of her arse.
Also they have said fuck all about them when it goes for its test which on a truck is far more stringent than on a car.
her old man must have had his fucking lettering wrong or something

First time Mart he did have a letter moved to the right, second time it was all correct other than the colour of the fixing brackets. He will confirm it to you himself later if you so desire..
That quote I posted earlier is taken directly from the DVLA website. The site linked here earlier has a disclaimer:
Believe me, they are clamping down on it.

In that case the old Bill should find something better to do with there time. instead of targeting football fans and motorists

In complete agreement, and I couldnt believe that Manchester Police had nothing better to do than to waste time pulling a motorist because he had the wrong colour fixing brackets. Waste of half an hour for everyone really.
First time yes, hands up and he knew it was illegal. His Uncle is in the force and told him that if he carried spare, legal plates 90% of traffic coppers would be happy to just let him on his way with the promise that he would change them. Unfortunately he met one of the 10% that was looking to meet his daily target.
It all depends on the copper I think. I had a plate on mine for years that was illegal and only once did a passing bike copper tell me it was "a bit naughty". I never got fined etc. Just seems to be a really big clamp down of late.
Advice would be if you are going to put them on carry a spare, legal set in the boot.

I've got a stoke crest on my number plates from the above company (my showplates), however i have not had a front number plate on my car for 18 months now & i have only been stopped once, i have it under my seat so i just said it fell off & am waiting to get some more tape to put it back on.
Handy for forward facing cameras & average speed check cameras (so i have been told)
Job Done.
My mate at work has a black & silver number plate on his black beemer & he has had no probs.
maybe you just get the odd jobsworth now & again

Yeah i used "a plates", just google it.
Got the emblem on the front and back plates. Looks really good. Had them for over six months, no problem from the Police. Only cost £35 and arrived within 48hours. Highly recommended

Northwich, no need to apologise mate, just your opinion.
I don't go over the limit willy nilly, Only down/up the M6 toll or M40 (when the conditions/roads permit) when i come to games.
The number plate is off as i believe the car looks better without it on the bumper & not to get out of speed traps.
There can't be many forward facing cameras anyway

SSG, Just the way it read then be careful on the Toll road, I was on it 2 weeks ago and the police were crawling all over it, hand held cameras on the bridges, squad cars then waiting up the slip roads a few hundred yards up the road, and I saw 2 unmarked cars pulling speeders over.

I've seen them a few times, can't blame them really, the toll road just seems to be a place where you pay your £4.50 for a few miles of fast driving nowadays.
I've started using the M6 again

Missus posted already that I got pulled up just off Broadway roundabout in Meir, two days after Christmas. The spacing was just a little bit out and the 3 was shortened a bit (the plate was nowhere near as bad as others I've seen and another car with a more illegal plate went past as the copper was doing me!). Anyway, they had me in the back of their car, made me feel like a proper crim and told me they could report me to the DVLA and they would confiscate the registration - the DVLA grant you a license to display a cherished number and can quite easily revoke it. I offered to replace the plates with totally legal ones but they were hell bent on getting £30 from the minute I drove past. While I was there, the 'yabbadabadoo' went off in the cops car to show a car with no insurance, tax and whatever else but they decided to ignore this one. I think they'd been in Broadway Fish Bar and needed an excuse why they were in the area. The second time, a little Hitler viciously pointed for me to pull in to the kerb and pointed out the fixing brackets were the wrong colour but was happy with plate being legal. I told him that the copper that did me before checked everything and was happy. He told me to change them as soon as possible but didn't do me. I was just on the outskirts of Moss Side and I'm sure they'd have had more fun there but probably too much like hard work. BTW Wig an Casino - I'm Boogie on ND! Watch out, the plod seem to keep an eye out for Pt's and especially the North Wales plod - they particularly like the tinted windows, even the standard ones!

A jobs worth copper pulled me for having Italic lettering and incorrect spacing even though the plate could be read with no difficulty, I hadnt tried to adjust any of the lettering in any way. Theres a current surge by the police on number plates and if they havent pulled you yet its just a matter of time. Luckily i just got off with a caution and told to take my car to a test station with the correct plates where i had to get a docket signed. I was told if caught again the DVLA would scrap my current plate.

Just had my new plates made up and despite the abundance of online options I went back to Simpsons (top of College Road, Hanley) who made my previous ones. They've now got the official Stoke Badge (lots of them actually - "the rush hasn't happened yet") and made two* sets of plates in 30 mins for £35.
They can make them up however you want - slogans on front and rear, borders etc etc. Just take your paperwork with you and they'll sort you. Worth the trip down from Warrington just to support a small biz (well I was in the area anyway, but hey).
* One Road legal, one "show".
