Rafa is a proven winner, there's no question about it. Surely some big club will offer to pull him out of this mess. So much so he massively flopped at Napoli, Real Madrid, Inter Milan

Cant see him staying to be honest. Would see himself as a top league Manager and if he didn't get Castle promoted next year he becomes the forgotten man Spot on, he has everything to lost and nothing to gain, he's gone from Real Madrid to the Championship within a season but he has an opportunity to walk away from this one and leave the blame with McClaren. The Geordies will fully expect to be top of the Championship next season, but that is no easy task in one of the most unpredictable leagues that is new to him. If I was him I'd be straight out of the door, it's really not worth the risk.

I think it was all the success at Valencia and managing Liverpool to become champions of Europe, that's the Rafa 'thing' He can't seriously still be dining out on a Gerrard inspired comeback from 3-0 down to pull off the most unlikely of victories on penalties against Milan in a competition in which Liverpool finished behind Monaco in the qualifying group a dozen or so years ago can he

Rafa is a proven winner, there's no question about it. Surely some big club will offer to pull him out of this mess. Well there is a question about it, just before he spent most of his time at Newcastle losing he had his contact terminated at Madrid because of unpopularity with supporters, displeasure with players and a failure to get good results.
